Colby looked physically weak. Leon getting up and immediately kicks him in the head before taking him down was not a good look for Colby.
He was actually outgrappling Colby majority of the fight, he didnt need to get up at the end because he already won.

I could be wrong about him being weak maybe he was just intimidated by Leon's speed and reaction time.
He was too slow to implement the only game plan he knows, pressure, without getting tuned up.
The Colby we saw lacked that non stop motor which was his primary advantage. Without it he’s going to have a real tough time in the division.

How do you actually see this fight going?
Ring rust + he had broken something early in the fight. Together it made for a piss poor performance.

Ring rust could still be a factor in this fight, but as long as he's healthy and doesn't break anything, maybe we'll see a bit of the old Colby.

It was barely two minutes into the fight and I was laughing at how slow and shot he was.

Colby is just pressure. Take away his speed, his cardio, and he's in big trouble.

Worried? About what?

Colby is one of the most overrated fighters of all time and I hope Buckley takes his head clean the fuck off so we don't have to listen to his shtick anymore

I'm mostly worried Buckley doesn't have the defensive wrestling capability to stop Colby from leg humping him for 25 minutes
I'm with you on that fear. But honestly, at this point in their careers, I'm much more expecting a dominant one-way mauling from Buckley. And I also think that despite being a cardio and pressure machine, Colby runs on morale, and when he starts being the nail, his morale crumbles.

I was a fan of Colby for a bit. His Usman performances showed that he has championship ability. But he annoyingly rarely fights anymore and he looked old against Leon. This is a bad match up for him.

Actually usman would be more overrated as he was a pound for pound number 1 fighter and the best win of his career is a win over colby. No one ever called colby p4p ranked but usman was number 1 for beating colby.

think about it. Usman would be more overrated. Colby is Adequately rated if anything. no one thinks he's all that.

Can't like posts atm but this 100%. I'm hoping Colby gets Matt Lindland'd and never fights again. Genuine LOL @ him having even a single fan.

Didn't he break his foot in the first round of that fight? I'd say that had an effect on his performance. I think the cardio king still has it. If joaquin beats him I'm going to be surprised. I like'em both and gotta respect joaquin for his hustle, though. He has been fucking active. Rest of the bums at WW could learn a thing or two.

yes, he said that about his foot, also that he had 'altitude-sickness' and mucus on the lungs etc (paraphrasing) in the vid in this thread:

Guy had a year to come up with an excuse and all he's got is "altitude sickness"?

I will continue my hater train of declaring Usman the most overrated hype product of the modern era. Artificially inflated to replace GSP's mystique, but it only worked on the stupidest of fans.
Like you said, Colby is his best win and Colby isn't good and never was.

If Colby had a career ending injury after the first Usman fight, the ww division might not be as screwed up as it is today. 3 title shots when we are lucky if a champ even fights 2x a year. Fuck him. I'm worried if he somehow gets another title shot.

I think Leon wins.

Worried?

I'm only worried that Buckley doesn't get a highlight headkick knockout in this one and somehow Colby bores us all by surviving to another decision.

I hope Buckley knocks all the teeth out of Colby's head that Masvidal didn't crack already.

Colby was winning the last round holding down leon in the 5th
