UFC Has Lost All Credibility With RR/WMMA

Your the dipshit. If the talent pool was so deep at 135 we wouldn't be watching Alexis Davis fight for the title idiot. And if she was looking to fight "talent" then she would have to look no further then to the one woman 95% of anyone who pays attention to mma know will beat her whether they like it or not.

Laughable. There are roughly twice as many as fighters at 135 than 145 hence DEEPER TALENT POOL. Also look at the records of the top 10 at 135 and compare with the record of the top 10 at 145.

Dipshit.

And Ronda would run over Cyborg at this point. She's evolved about 3 times since they would've been a close match.

If you think female boxing is big or grew since the 90's your sadly mistaken.

In all reality no one gives a damn about female boxing these days. Nuff said.

I never said women's boxing was growing. I simply said that it was not a fad and that it was still here. Just like women's MMA. It's not going anywhere in the near future unless MMA itself crumbles. People need to deal with the fact that women are going to continue to fight and they have proven themselves to be a draw in promotions such as EXC, Strikeforce and now the UFC.

Ok, LOL. Davis got ko'ed by forehead shots from a 135 pound female. Ok. If you're getting ko'ed by forehead punches by a 135 pound person in a schoolyard headlock. You probably shouldn't fight, seeing that your chin is nonexistent.

Which is interesting because Davis hadn't been finished since January of 2009.

Lol that's what Apostle and the rest of the white knight brigade fails to understand, they make it sound like RR fought top level competition when she first started.

By the time Ronda fought Miesha for the title, she had fought multiple ranked opponents, and even fought the highly touted Taylor Stratford as an amateur. Ronda did jump in line to get her title shot. But she fought better, higher ranked, more notable fighters than Holm has yet to fight. Fight Matrix had her ranked #3 FW when she got her shot at the BW strap.

You can't really compare Holm's resume to Rousey's early resume.

If nobody cares about female boxing, why is everyone hyping up Holm so much? Her hype is almost entirely built up on her boxing credentials. If she didn't have those credentials, or if nobody knew about them, she would be just another prospect.

Ronda almost got choked out by a blue belt who never grew up when any martial arts training or pedigree. Mcmann was her most legit fight.
That blue belt completely dominated Marloes Coenen on just 11 days notice (and with 8 months of experience). Miesha Tate went on to submit Coenen just one fight later. The funny thing is Coenen is easily Cyborg's best win and who she beat to get her Invicta title. And the woman Cyborg beat to get her title shot? A 6-2 Fiona Muxlow that's best win was a fighter with a 1-0 record.

Davis had only been stopped once before by punches, and it was her 2007 pro debut to Kaufman. The 2009 TKO loss to LaRosa was because a knee opened up a cut over her eye...

She's getting hype because a few people threw her name out there and a bunch of dumb ass Ronda haters latched on to her as their savior after Cyborg ran away to Invicta.

Dana trying so hard to establish her as a superstar with subpar competition has lost all credibility with me. Anyone with half a brain knew Davis had no chance.

That's easy to say after the fact.

Rondy just has too many explosions for anyone to handle, skin color notwithstanding. She also evolves again after each fight like the final boss of a video game, Final Form Ronda Rousey could probably wreck Dillashaw lol.

You know, having some highlight reel knockouts and getting Rookie of the Year acclaim doesn't exactly require "a few people" to throw someone's name out there to get hype.

Nonsense! No true fighter will ever tap to a face-crank, especially not Ronda

And she was going to fight who?

In a business where Roy Nelson can get a title shot, there is room for growth.

Ronda's awesome, and she's fought Olympians & champs. (but yes, the pool is shallow at the moment - so what?)

I wouldn't call it no competition. But they either need to get her in there with a clean Cyborg or let her compete against men near her weight class. Eventually it's going to have to happen. She can strike now too so she's no longer a one trick pony. Love her or hate her you have to give her credit. She's driven.

Could have sworn I saw similarly-shitty threads about the MW division when Anderson Silva was mowing down everyone with ease.

There's only so much you can teach a Shertard, until he reaches the limit of his capabilities.

No, it was close. The arm was mere inches from being down around her neck, where she might have had to defend it instead of adjusting her top.

Yall had no problem when Anderson smashed high level opponents

To be fair when AS smashed the likes of Irvin, Forrest and Bonnar the grumbling of those that accused the UFC of feeding him handpicked opponents to make his star shine brighter was very audible.

but when an outspoken woman does it yall get butthurt

Grow up

And that is the problem with white knights here. Any criticism of WMMA (which lets face it is shallower then MMA ca. 1990) is dismissed as butthurt whining my mysagonists.

The talent pool and technique in WMMA are so subpar it is very difficult to rate the merits of those few that stand out.

If Miss Rousey where such a
