Masvidal - Cowboy took two fights away from me, It's personal, I really want to hurt him

Masvidal makes a fool of himself by admitting in the next breath that it wasn't Cowboy's fault the fights were given away. Ridiculous reason to be angry and he knows it.

I just had surgery on my ankle but it was healing, but when they offered, I accepted knew it would be ok, I would have retired if I didn't go back to Wittman, self doubt and injuries from over training, now I'm healthy, athletically I'm as good as I've ever been, I know alot of people will be there for me, but I have to keep my focus

Yesss, he sounds like he's in a good place, mentally and physically. Really liking my not Alvey ITD plays right now.

Pretty much what Matt Brown was doing, forcing reasons to be pissed off at Cowboy. I usually ignore this kind of talk.

I didn't say he would easily get him to the ground. I just think cerrone is the more well rounded fighter and in my opinion he's better in more areas than masvidal. Obviously we haven't seen what would happen when they match up but the level of competition masvidal has faced is nowhere near the level cerrone has faced.
Not to split hairs here but that is exactly what you said actually, that Cerrone could easily get him to the ground. No doubt he has the better wins but that has very little bearing when talking about how two specific styles match up.

Obviously the people who are betting whichever fighter have their reasons and I stated mine. I also said that masvidal is a tough fighter and this is not a gimme fight by any means. I just feel that cerrone is always underestimated and all he has done is win 12 out of the last 13. Masvidal could very well be the fighter to stop the streak but I just don't think he has what it takes we shall see.
Regarding the "hes always understimated" thing.... this will be the first time that Ive bet against Cowboy in forever. I am usually Team Cowboy 100% but I just really think this is a bad matchup for him.

RED FLAG!! JASON KNIGHT FIGHTING IN ALTITUDE WITH A DEVIATED SEPTUM!!!

Adding a little to Caceres dec

Apparently Masvidal and Cerrone have trained together before and Masvidal out wrestled him easy. Dropped him on his head and had Cowboy pulling guard.

Passing on this fight 100%. I think Knight wins a decision because of his volume and aggression. Knight will be moving forward the whole fight and Caceres will be running the whole fight. Knight always comes to fight and you'll get your moneys worth with him. The deviated septum isn't good news but he fought fine last time with it.

I got tired last fight because I have a Deviated Septum i tired to get it fixed, but this is a short notice fight, my heart will push me through it like last fight, I don't care, when they call, I will fight, Caceres will be a tough test, I can't breathe out of my nose in my second round, but my heart will push me through the 10 minutes, I'd like to have surgery, he's flashy, but he's never fought someone with my hunger, I will break him, he's not ready for it, I'm going to call out Korean superboy

Bummed out bad. Ruptured my achilles today after cutting 36 pounds in 3 and half weeks and now I'm shelved for at least six months (I had a large calf tear they are cleaning up too) and now I'm missing a Saenchai seminar I already paid for...ugh

Nonetheless, Ii'm on Shev hard here. Saw her train at TMT and she is best the women's striker in the UFC. Also, after seeing that she held her own rolling with Rose, I think she takes this.

I'm going semi-yolo Saturday cause I'm fucking bummed about surgery next week.

My picks:

5 team parlay - 1/2 unit
Valentina Shevchenko ML (-125)
Donald Cerrone ML (-160)
Li Jingliang ML (-150)
Eric Spicely ML (-125)
Eric Shelton ML (-120)

No one else liking Gonzalez as the dog?

I don't think he's going far in the UFC, but this is the perfect opponent for him. With his tall man defense, he needs someone who is not at all dangerous. Granted, I thought that guy was Dober last fight, but Dober has proved more dangerous recently (he rocked OAM last fight as well). I think he has the skill and size advantage here.

.35u on him by dec as my degen action for that fight. Screams pass though. Wouldn't bet Cottrell against anyone after that miserable performance against Prazeres where he was basically crying to his corner inbetween rounds (I know it was short notice, still utter shit)

I think the odds will equal out when people see the size diff. Both guys have big holes, Cottrell was finished by a similar striker before and Gonzalez is a white belt on the mat. The under and doesn't go to Dec for me.

Iron sharpens iron. You have to spar to be ready for a big fight. Confidence increase Cerrone.

{<jordan}

Lol finding confidence in nothing, Cerrone doesn't spar either. Both these guys are at a level where drilling is more important to them than sparing. Fighters spar to get used to conditions inside the cage such as adrenaline, movement etc but when both these guys have over 40 fights each, they're acclimated to fight conditions.

Heavy Hands take on Cerrone-Masvidal:

Wyman:

Cerrone's fight to lose. Masvidal's improvements won't be enough. Masvidal can hang in there but at the end of the day Cerrone throws more, works more, sets and fights from a longer distance, Masvidal will have trouble making Cerrone uncomfortable.

Ruebusch:

Masvidal fights to prevent other guy from winning rather than win the fight emphatically. Similar to Sean Strickland and Gegard Mousasi. Masvidal is adaptable and well rounded and keeps a cool head, but the only way he can consistently fight at a high level is boxing from the outside. So he does well when opponent aimlessly comes at him, allows him to show off speed and precision. But against opponent who also enjoys the same or longer range and is more dangerous when strikes connect, then he will have a hard time. Masvidal is the opposite of the kind of fighter who beats Cerrone. He is not that powerful and doesn't pressure consistently.

I dunno why people say this. He has been the favorite going 9 times in his last 10 bouts. He was only the dog against RDA.

Julianna Pena said she has been in Denver for 3 weeks to get acclimated to the "weather," and by weather I assume she means altitude.

Sucks dude how'd you do that? My cousin tore his about a year ago but he was able to get back to normal pretty soon after PT

Underestimated? He opened at -135 against Cote and -180 against Story. I think most people would empty their BR if either rematch were made w those same odds
