UFC Fighters you have met

I met Frank Mir and Josh Barnett at a fan expo. I was astounded by how small they were (I'm on the left, not the cans on the right)

Embarrassingly inadequate stature and physique to be posting here

Pat Cote, OAM and Charles Jourdain

Quebec represent

I've trained with Jourdain for a few years from his amateur days to his first few pro fights.

They are all great guys
did you ever make pro??

Oh no no no

I was not an mma guy. I competed a lot as a Jr in Kyokushin and started boxing and a bit of muay thai later as a hobby. I could hang with most on my feet but was never interested to compete because of the toll it takes on your body.

I didnt compete but still had a few concussions, neck problems and fucked up wrist still to this day.

That’s awesome man!

not your injuries. Your background more so.

Amusingly I met Cody Garbrandt at the airport. He was in a hurry though.

Fuk sherdog and its pop up ads. Had a whole fuken list of people i met and then it disappeared
This happens on the reg to me. Those adds deprive the forums of my strong opinions and hot takes

Dan Henderson, Carlos Newton, Kevin Randleman and Murilo Bustamante were all cool, but my meeting them wasn't much more than a hello.

I met Mark Kerr at a Circle K in Tempe. I think he was on his lunch break with how he was dressed. I talked with him for a few minutes and he seemed happy that some random idiot like me recognized him.

I know a lot of people have talked about their negative interactions with Ken Shamrock but he was cool when he came into my work (Sam's Club) looking for DVD's to buy. This was when he was still with the WWF/E and I asked him if he had any plans on ever going back to the UFC. He said he would only go back if they paid him the same amount that was getting from the WWF and if he could get another fight with Royce and one with Tank.

My only bad experience was with Don Frye and Ricco Rodriguez at a Rage in the Cage show. This was before Ricco was ever in the UFC and I'm not sure he had even fought in Pride yet, so I had no idea who he was until much later. They both appeared to be super drunk when I walked up with my girlfriend at the time. Don said something about her tits and that made Ricco start laughing. I pretended not to hear what he said and when I walked away with my girlfriend she asked me why I didn't say anything to him about what he said about her. I told her she was out of her fucking mind if she expected me to say anything to Don Frye and that just made her mad at me, but I thought that having her temporarily mad at me was much better than Don caving my face in.
