UFC Fight Night: Usman vs. Buckley

Buckly vs Usman and Craig vs Bellato look interesting. The rest, not so much.

A close friend is a big Thug Rose fan, he seems to be able to judge her psychological state correctly. So I'll get his opinion on this fight and write here
I spoke with my mate. He says Rose seems to be in a good psychological state and should get the win. He doesn't bet on Rose because he has too much personal bias.

My point: Although Maverick is muscular, Rose is significantly taller. Rose lost to Fiorot because she is a supernatural gorilla and to Blanchfield because she is a grappling prodigy.
Maverick is neither.
If Rose is ok in her head, she should get the win.
I wouldn't be surprised if Rose wins by TKO or Submission because of her length and the striking control it will bring.

should we really expect Usman to get koed if he's only been koed one time in 24 fights?

Seems likely with all the wrestling involved that Buckley would win a decision.

Im high on Buckley but I might play Usman. He really only looked bad in one fight the third bout vs Edwards. In hindsight he did look terrible in that but I think coming off the ko loss played its part.
If I get bigger odds I will probably play him just a bit.

Who said that they expect Usman to get KOed?

Remember Usman's knees are fucked, wouldn't be shocking if he wrestles very little here.

im just posting the subject.

his knees have been like that for a while. he could still cage stall. plus i know when Buckley tends to drain, he usually has a window of 3 rounds and then his power dwindles.

my biggest concern is a tko leg injury.

I just added a "SuperBoost" bet...
Buckley ML + Rose ML + Edmen ML (+400)

It's far from a lock, but I think all three should win and that's good value.

Petroski is second only to Gilbert Burns when it comes to wilting when someone puts it on him imo

Edmen by rd 1 KO

Usman looks absolutely juiced to the tits. This isn't an accusation, just an observation. Maybe he upped his creatine dose.

Hard to bet against him in a 5 rounder imo. Buckley does slow down noticeably. I'll probably just skip it.

Like Petroski here. Could be at risk of a KO because Edmen does carry power but feel like if he can avoid getting KOed the first round he can drown Edmen with his grappling and likely get a finish. Feel like it's an easy fight to cover too, probably be able to get Edmen R1 KO at +250/300.

Maybe Jourdain as an underdog, feel like he should be able to comfortably out strike Simon. Main concern is obviously the takedown threat, Ricky isn't an elite takedown artist and leaves enough opportunity for his opponents to get back up but I do worry consistent takedowns could probably see him losing a round or two if he spends enough time on his back fishing for sub attempts as I do think if it goes 15 minutes we'll see Jourdain on his back for a few minutes of the fight. His kickboxing should hopefully be enough to score rounds but the takedown threat is a big concern but as a decent underdog it's probably worth the risk.

I'm interested in Buckley by KO too depending on the odds. I don't think Usman will have much for him. Usman probably isn't as done as Colby but I think Buckley ends up breaking him down on the feet, landing cleanly often and will have enough about him to avoid the handful of takedowns that Usman will attempt, or be able to get back to his feet quite quickly if Usman does manage to get him down. Usman obviously has a lot more experience with 5 round fights compared to Buckley but I think where Usman is at age wise and some hard fights of late, I think if anyone starts to slow down here it'll be Usman and the extra rounds will just give Buckley longer to break Usman down. I don't think it'll be some big shot that puts Usman away, rather just hard rounds where Buckley is landing hard and consistently that chips away at Usman and eventually gets Buckley a TKO and then probably a fight or two away from a title shot.
U bought to fuck around and find out

I added a bet on Cody Garbrandt at +200
I know he's chinny and past his prime, but he's still a lot younger than Barcelos and has the grappling to not be exposed like Talbott was.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that's a very winnable fight for Cody and those odds are definitely worth the risk.
War Cody!

Barcelos aint amazing. No idea why hes the fav. Losing to Victor Henry is way worse than anything Codys ever done. Id have the odds at pick em.

For reference check what Assuncao did to Henry. Thats the level of fighter that dominated Barcelos.

The Assuncao fight was 5 years ago it has zero relevance at this point. Cody is a head case and not a full time fighter anymore. He looked really bad in his last fight. Atleast Barcelos is still still full time fighter and active.

Barcelos has shit defense though, imo this fight should be at evens considering how they're both shopworn and vulnerable.

That's fair enough, after siting on it I'm not feeling Barelos anymore... Officially cashing out of my plays on him 🙏
