UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Brady

What's the consensus on Gunnar Nelson this week? Surprised at the amount of people taking Holland so far

Nah I disagree. (Discussion in the DM''S is fine too obviously, but I think it's also beneficial on the open forum).

We aren't talking shit or being disrespectful at all. We're just offering different views on the fight. If you're wrong, you're wrong. And nobody should rub your nose in it. Just like if you're spot on and Leon does exactly what you think he will you aren't gonna be a dick about it.

The dynamics for sure are different than in a grappling match, all I'm saying as someone who competed in both (obviously at a MUCH lower level) is that with Jones you're talking about a top handful type guy in the world. He plays guard yes, but has crazy sweeps off his leglocks etc. Leon will obviously use different strategy to get up with the cage etc but Brady clearly has an elite top game overall regardless.
Yeah but veering towards becoming a bettor who hedges a lot and playing more objectively, so regardless, i think it's better to stop trying to convince one side, and focus on maximizing profits. I think a lot of these debates can be settled if we posted the likely outcomes from both sides and discuss what the odds should be . I'd like for the forum to focus on pricing and edges and what the proper unit should be rather than a who wins or losses for several pages. As far as we know both guys can win here.

I think he's elite but he's let a few guys sweep him as well, Kelvin, Chiesa and Court canceled him, we'll see how his grappling holds up.

Line movement with 20 minutes left before the first fight starts:

Sean Brady down to -140
Carlos Ulberg up to -350
Gunnar Nelson up to -145
Nathaniel Wood now a -110 pickem
Lone'er Kavanagh down to -250
Mick Parkin up to -175
Shauna Bannon up to -190
Nathan Fletcher up to -155
Guram Kutataladze down to -350

Basically, a lot of action has come in on the English fighters, except for Molly McCann.

That's totally fair. I agree, likelihood is the key. I think theres obviously still gonna be disagreement though.

Wood for 132
Padilla for 113
Brady for 98
Fernandes for 340

Went in for 360, came out with 683.

323 profit.
Congrats on the near double up. 🤑

For each UFC event, there's a separate bets thread where some of us post our bets. This way our bets won't get lost in a big thread and it's overall easy to see what other people are on in case you might want to copy some of their ideas.

Thanks! I’ll check it out. Right now I’m letting an Ai bot do the picks for me, but I’ll be happy to put in what the algorithm is predicting
