He waited WAY too long, to the point that people had lost interest. If he had bowed out after his last little burst of excitement after the travis browne win, like say when he lost to Stipe, he would have gotten a great reception like most people do.

It's a shame after such a great career, but he tarnished it with those last 20 unnecessary and mediocre ass fights, imo.
