I'm a PT and have worked in SNF for the last 12 years so I've been up and close to some serious dew flaps but never ever have I had to shave them. Sometimes I change a brief or two if someone needs to work on bed mobility and the CNAs are trying to clean them up. That can get pretty wild too.
