A Yankees spokesman told Newsday that they haven’t met with any officials associated with UFC and haven’t discussed a specific date but that they are “planning to meet with the promotion in the future.”

If the UFC and the Yankees can come to an agreement, it could potentially be a record-setting event for MMA. The UFC’s current attendance record is 56,214 people, but Yankee Stadium holds 54,251 and could even expand upon that number by selling seats on the field for the big event, easily breaking the MMA’s current record turnout for a single event.

They should kick it off with a show by Katy Perry

Just saw them talking about that shit on FS1.

Would be nuckin futs.

Keep the fighters away from A-rod or everybody's gettin popped

Finally, a reason to go to.Yankee Stadium. Fuck Baseball.

They couldve done it with an undefeated Ronda and Conor defending their belts. But they dont have the star firepower to fill the stadium right now. I suppose in Dana's ideal world, it wouldve been Ronda vs Cyborg and Conor vs Lawler.

LL. Cool J will open it with, "I'm Gonna Knock You Out!"

I'm not sure, but It would be pretty bad ass to watch fights in a thunder storm.
haha i guess fight on right? they probably wouldnt be able to cancel the event so they would have to fight in the rain, would def hurt submission guys...actually it might be interesting to watch fights like this

Maybe a record for North American mma.

That 54,000 doesn't even touch some pride events.

Huh?...They mentioned nothing about holding the record for an MMA event. The Article was solely referring to the UFC.

MMA is not the name of the UFC, correct?
