There's always been amazing fighters outside of the UFC. Pride, Strikeforce, WEC, etc. We'll never know who's best until they fight. We kind of just have to chose that the UFC is the best because they're the biggest and have been around the longest.

Even if this is true, 95% of MMA fans have never heard of any of those guys, besides Ngannou and Cyborg. Why do we know them? They were in the UFC! If your not fighting in the UFC, your still a nobody to most people. It might not be fair, but it's true. As far as most fans know, the #1 guys are all in the UFC. Also, Jones would destroy Ngannou and it wouldn't even be that tough a fight. All he has over Jones is punching power, nothing else. But hey, that's just my opinion!

UFC is busy signing elite Russian talent like 10-10 record Denis Tiuliulin. That's what happened. Other orgs signed better talent than them that's why you see average dudes like Belal, Strickland, ancient Glover etc become champ in the UFC

UFC never had the best talent that's why guys from PRIDE, Strikeforce, WEC, Rizin, KSW etc became champ in the UFC. Even a fake WWE wrestler Brock was champ in the UFC

Vadim is a HW allegedly, Fight Matrix even somehow had him top 10 after 1 HW fight iirc.

WFW is not Cyborg if Kayla fights her IMO. Too bad they (PFL) fucked that option up.

WFly is still Schevchenko by far.

Usman would not be better then Islam. He hasn't fought anyone of note at all. 40 year old Benson is his best win.

Even Francis is hard to judge. Tom could certainly be better and so could Jon. Unfortunately no way of knowing since he can't fight either of them.

Lol HW and LHW are far more arguable than women's flyweight. Ngannou was the best heavyweight when he left and Nemkov had consistency at LHW while the UFC guys were exchanging the title back and forth in a division devoid of wrestling.

I’m not making the rankings, I’m not using the ufc rankings, I’m using sherdog rankings, and they watch the other organizations, probably more than you do.

What do you think this is, Strikeforce era? These big names outside the UFC who finally come in to compete almost always fail. Not only that, history has shown that the slightly lower ranked guys do better in UFC than the bigger names.

Shamil is 18-0, undefeated for 10 years. Dakota just annihilated the girl that almost beat Val. Dakota is without a doubt the best in the world no matter what organization she's in. Also Shamil is possibly the best in the world as well. You can also say Francis is the best. Mix is highly underrated, I'd say he's top 3. The UFC is too busy signing lackluster contender series guys while others are signing some bad mfers.

It took Francis no time to decapitate a way younger Stipe. It's silly to go off of Jon's performance against a much older Stipe. Francis still finished Stipe in no time flat compared to Jones.
