I really hope the UFC never go the ONE route of mixing in some BJJ matches with their MMA cards. It was awful in ONE.

I hoped they would never mix wmma with mma. Or midgetmma with mma.

We will soon get wmma, slap fighting, bjj all on the same card. Cards every day. Dana's disciples will tell us we should be happy, more fights.

What is the point of this?

The whole idea is that the MMA ruleset makes it the "Ultimate Fighting Championship" ie the best proving ground for who the best fighters are in a setting where almost anything goes. Why promote butt scooting or two morons taking it in turns to slap each other?

Heavyweights have always captured the most attention over the last 100 years.

People want to watch an Overeem, Lesnar, Mike Tyson, Young George Foreman, or Francis knock someone out.

But if you prefer to watch a 125 pound "man" roll around with another guy, hey, enjoy.
