Niedzwiedz arguably won the fight with Maia.

MacFarlane has been amazing in Bellator.

Lipski has been dominating solid competition in KSW.

Rin Nakai is another candidate.

That doesnt justify the shitty fighters. The ufc used to be about having the best mma fighters and fights, that is clearly not the case with these girls. The qaulity of fight was terrible last season.

None of those fighters has beaten anyone really top level, with the exception of Kuma beating Porto.

Macfarlane looks awesome, but isn't beating anyone noteworthy.

Lips ki hasn't beaten anyone.

Rin Nakai is back to can crushing. Her next opponent is 1-2.

When people say that the UFC fails at promoting fighters, they mean this. 2 months and they haven't booked any sort of interview after the fight? I almost forgot about the new division and I watched most of the fights.

I'm not trying to justify the fighter selection process for TUF. Fighter selection for TUF always seems to care more about reality show appeal than about absolute fighter quality, and it may be that this was at play here, in selecting this fighter, considering who she is the wife of.

Also, there are many reasons that top fighters would not want to be on TUF. They have to make weight a lot of times in close proximity, they are apart from their family and coaches, and the reality show aspect of TUF delights in making fighters look like ass-holes. A top fighter may well just decide to wait for a contract and avoid all that.

You mean Nicco Montano? Looking forward to seeing her defend her title when she recovers from her injury. White said it would be Sijara Eubanks to be the first title contender. That would be an interesting fight.

Perhaps someone else will get a shot if that fight does not pan out for whatever reason.
