Media UFC continuing to make cringy decisions

I don't care who brings out BMF belt, it's not even a real belt. That said belts in general aren't real, they are just a symbol of who's the best. If they want to have BMF belt for most entertaining, whatever it's not like they can defend the belt really there is no rules.
 
Will it be defended this time around? Unified? Will there be one for each division eventually? I dont have a problem with more titles/belts, i just want to seem treated as such, Masvidal lost a bunch of times already and now he will be "stripped" of it after that many L's? The man is no BMF champ any more, that if he ever was, that was a one off fight that wasnt supposed to be defended later, Edwards is the rightful BMF lineal champion if we are going to do this, title switched hands on huge KO's if thats the requirement.

Don't give them a corny cheap belt.

Give them a fair split of the revenue.

Who cares about a toy?
 
It’s goofy but I don’t really care as long as the fights stay 100% real without any rehearsed bits or staged outcomes. UFC can make some money off the replica belt and clothing merch. They can pull bigger numbers if someone like Islam or Volk become double champ and then fight for 3rd (BMF) belt.

1. You're "glad we finally get closure?" You've been waiting for closure on the fake BMF belt?

2. How exactly are we going to "see it defended?" It's 2 different fighters in a different weight class. Unless you're suggesting that whoever wins this fight will defend it, which suggests you hope this BMF thing just lives on in perpetuity. In which case, it will only be a fake LW title? Or do you want fake titles created for each division?

3. How exactly would defending the BMF title qualify as "closure?" If anything, rehashing this lame gimmick is the opposite of closure.

4. By "international title," I assume you're referring to boxing. The international titles in boxing are essentially meaningless. And they don't create whole marketing campaigns around international titles. When was the last time you saw a ppv headlined by an international title?

Is the BMF title the worst thing the UFC has done? Obviously not. But it's incredibly corny and super (un)necessary.
