UFC commentator Joe Rogan no new podcast episodes on Youtube

Massive difference if you're willing to spend a little (ymmv). Not so much without.

Something like this:

Paired with your phone will transform your audio to a completely different level.

Add in some decent phones like these or similar

Easy to set up (convenience is a must for me) and easy to out in. Your pocket.

These phones are easy to wear on commutes and wear around your neck when not listening.

You'll.mever go back to basic earbuds in phone once you try it j promise you! :)

(Up to a certain point the sound quality will just increase, eg mid -high end phones from Audeze, Bower and Wilkins and others).

It's the difference that noticeable with Tidal? I'm using Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones and Spotify sounds great on them as it is.

Well, you've certainly piqued my interest. I use earbuds during the day and Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 at home but I've been thinking about getting speakers and maybe this lossless music thing is something I need to take into account if there actually is that much of a difference. I thought we were talking about a minor difference that you maybe can hear if you really fucking listen for it

Don't want to hijack the thread but have a look around the net for some reviews of the Chord Mojo and Hi Rex players like Astell and Kern (they have Tidal installed but need good WiFi connection).

If you're going to be listening to Spotify, tidal or any streaming service eg internet radio , podcasts via any app then a DAC/Amplifier like the mojo is the way to go.

I'd check out the mojo in-store with down decent headphones and see if you're impressed or not.

Nothing beats going to try it at a retailer with some decent cans.....

Also worth taking a look at 2nd hand stuff from hifishark/eBay etc for significant price savings on what can be expensive equipment.....https://www.hifishark.com/

Good luck if you go down this route ..and let me know how you get on :)

Sound quality

Both Spotify Premium and Tidal Premium offer streaming at a data rate of 320kbps (CD quality). That said, we found that Tidal streams offered a more spacious soundstage and sounded that little bit more engaging.

Tidal also offers the option to listen to tracks in better-than-CD-quality. The audiophile-friendly Tidal Hi-Fi plan grants access to over 25,000 Tidal Master tracks (such as Fleetwood Mac’s remastered Tusk) in the form of hi-res MQA streams.

You can identify Tidal Masters by the tiny little "M" icon next the title. They deliver guaranteed master-quality recording directly from the master source, thus providing the audio experience that the artist originally intended.

Until fairly recently, Tidal Masters were only available via the service's desktop app but Masters are now available on all Android smartphones.

*Result: Tidal wins hands down*

You may have other considerations but for me sound quality is the deal-breaker along with music catalogue.

I might try a free trial on Tidal. I think my problem is I've used Spotify for years and have loads of playlists etc on there.

I also have a bit of a weird taste in music, so I'd need to check that their library has the stuff I'd want on there.

He just left YouTube? Was it a delayed leaving? I thought he went to Spotify a minute ago?

I'm surprised that Alex Jones still has many fans after admitting in court that he's basically a grifter.

You're taking hateful liberties with that statement that are not based in reality...

His "act" is still a part of him that he chooses to let loose during his broadcasts. His lawyer is just making the point that he doesn't fly off the handle like that outside of the platform that he lets it loose in.

You know that people do that as a legal defense right? Same way Fox News claimed it's entertainment not news, and Facebook and Twitter claim they are platforms and not publishers. Fox and Alex Jones have made outrageous claims, some true some false, and Twitter and Facebook are publishers that restrict content and violate copyright laws millions of times a day, but also allow free expression most of the time.
CNN and FOX have x many million viewers a day and both lie all the time. This is the world we live in.

Seems like it’s going to severely limit his reach.

It has loads of things and even audiobooks.
Its well worth it imo
Then it's music, podcasts and audiobooks. Yeah, that may be worth it, after all. I'll get the 3 month trial that is on right now and give it a go.

It's hard to describe how much I hate Rogan these days. He makes me embarrassed for humanity, and viscerally disgusted. I hope he vanishes from the public's eye.

I’ve had it for a year or two and honestly I’ve never noticed audiobooks, is there a menu for them on the phone app?
You just have to search for the ones you want.
I was going to get audible, then I searched for the books I wanted and Spotify had them.
So I was quite lucky.

what's the deal with spotify? I think I've looked into it once and didn't see how I could justify a monthly fee for something I could get for free
No pirate-sites has even 1% of the stuff, that you on find on Spotify. The library is huge, always at your fingertip and easy to download playlists and play them in the app offline.
