The fights are coming together and things are getting back on track.

Khabib vs Fergy
Barboza vs Lee
Moraes vs RIvera
Overeem vs Blades
DC vs Stipe
Whitaker vs Romero
Gatchie vs Porrier
Etc...

Even the watered down cards have been entertaining lately.

Jones got a slap on the wrist. Conor has nowhere else to run so its only a matter of time before he enters the cage. GSP looks like he's getting back in shape for another go. Brock is wearing UFC shirts

the "who the fuck is that guy" Jeremy Stephens pulls better than expected numbers on Fox.

It looks like UFC is becoming great again.
 
This sport is dead until McGregor returns.
 
That Atlantic City card is better than almost all of the FOX cards we've had recently. Lee vs Barboza is fireworks, as is Branch vs Thiago Santos

A lot of these guys listed are the fighters Dana White should be calling fucking awesome, not the guys sitting out and posturing.
I hope the UFC can move on and let the fighters who are game get their shine, while sticking to merit and rankings.
For me that's how the UFC recovers, but I expect more unearned title shots and more CM Punks, hope I am just being cynical though.
 
The UFC was never dying. MMA is the future and will eat, digest and absorb all the energy from boxing.
 
UFC has always been great. In fact, this platform has provided some of the best fights in the history of MMA. Pride had its share but the UFC stayed consistent.

Not by any observable metric. Conor is the best thing to happen to MMA since White and the Fertittas. In these absences the UFC, and by virtue of the UFC = MMA, the sport is in the dump with no sign of recovery.
 
it is amazing what happens when the pendulum swings back toward merit-based matchmaking.

You forgot to mention Joanna vs Rose rematch. Say what you want about women’s mma, but those two are high level and I like watching them fight more than some of the men.

Khabib vs Ferg needs to finally happen. Rest is meh, even the superfight.

TJ/MM, Conor vs winner of Khabib/Tony, Cain/Stipe and the return of Jones are the boosts needed.
