Hey guys,

the UFC announced UNSTOPPABLE series of events leading to UFC 200 to build up some tension. Let me quote from their official website:

Las Vegas – Building off the excitement of UFC® 196, UFC is UNSTOPPABLE from April through June, showcasing eight spectacular events, hailing from new markets such as Croatia and The Netherlands, to fan-favorite cities across the U.S., Brazil and Canada. The momentum all leads us to UFC® 200.

The UNSTOPPABLE launch event takes place Friday, March 4 at 2 p.m. PT on the weigh-in stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. UFC President Dana White will introduce the matchups, including the return of some of UFC’s biggest stars. The event will be streamed live at ufc.com.

What drew my attentions were two things.

Firs of all - "Canada"? I don't think anything was known about any upcoming event in Canada before UFC 200.

And second thing - "return of some of UFC's biggest stars". I know that it may refer to Jones but when I mix it with "Canada" then...

UFC 199, Canada, return of GSP? Or am I trying too hard? :D

Wouldn't this whole campaign depend on Conor winning at 196? I'm assuming that's what "unstoppable" will refer too? What if Conor gets stopped?

We can hope.

Referring to Jones and BJ Penn...I know BJ's comeback is on hold but they probably couldn't be bothered to change it like..."Oh well it's still kinda true because Jones is returning...We'll do it live...We'll do it live!!! Fuck it, FUCK IT!!...We'll do it live, fuck it, I'll write it and we'll do it live, fucking thing, it sux!".

who says it has to be a numbered event in Canada?

Frankly, I'm surprised the UFC hasn't held any fight nights in Ontario or Quebec.

That would be hilarious, but they'd just sa it's a reference to the UFC itself being an unstoppable juggernaut in the sports world.

I'm sure some key matchups depend on Conor vs RDA result (it seems pretty obvious that if Conor wins, he'll go to WW to fight Robbie or... who knows ;)) but I don't think the name has anything to do with Conor. Would be risky. My guess it's about the company's march toward UFC 200.

Also, a bother big press circus *ahem* I mean, mores conference? No thanks.

I really don't miss GSP. I've been much more excited about WW title fights since he "retired".

However, I hates the way the UFC treated him. I'd love to see him in another org.

this will be like the Go Big that they did last year.

Not interested in a GSP return. He was great, but fought the same fight over and over. It's incredible that everyone knew what he would do but they were powerless to stop it, but that didn't make for great viewing (for me) near the end of his career.

I'm still sticking to my story of "GSP vs Lawler, UFC 200".

The last time they chose this title, the main event featured a pretty brutal stoppage.

Rory has been out 8 months. He's probably is Canada's biggest star at this point.

Plus if GSP were to return it would clearly be on Ufc 200
