The UFC kicked off their Paramount+partnership with a good viewership turnout for Saturday night’s event.

UFC 324 pulled a live average minute audience of 4.96 million views during the main card, with a 5.93 peak concurrent streams. That makes it the largest ever exclusive live event on Paramount+ to date, per info from Adobe Analytics and Paramount channel partner data. In addition, the event was viewed by 7.18 million global households. Average minute audience is calculate by total minutes viewed by all viewers divided by total duration of the content in time.— per ufc/variety.com

Thoughts ?? Pretty good numbers imo.

I wanna think this is good, but its an app stream number vs ppv number, both being ufc now.

I only caught the last 2 fights so I didnt see as many as the annoying ads as folks spoke about. If it generates big sales, then this is a win. If they can may off the ads a bit and generate a profit still, that would obvious be ideal.

I used to skip prelims that were free on TV, simply because of the ads. They slow the fuxking shit down, but when they interview ever other fighter, I get very grumpy.

Is a post fight interview necessary for every fucking fight?

They have around 80,000,000 subs, I'm not impressed. We'll see if they can sustain these numbers.

I had like 10 people come over to watch it. There was a lot of hype around the event from a casual standpoint. Most of my boys that came through didn’t even know who was fighting but they knew it was a big deal etc. Which speaks to what the UFC wants imo. Which is people caring more about the “Big UFC fights this weekend on paramount+” which is a very company > individual fighter approach which I’m sure does wonders for their longevity and the bottom line (regardless if I hate that approach or not). Also there was a UFC drought for a bit so id imagine it contributed to it as well.

Should be a good deal for Paramount, with new subs and advertiser revenue they will probably recoup their 7.7 billion in 3 years and make a hefty sum after the 7 year deal.

Really curious what the numbers will be once they start airing some of these cards on national CBS.

If I remember correctly, the all-time record US record was the debut Fox card Cain Vs JDS. It did around 9 million

Very, very good news. Remember, this card ostensibly was not stacked at all.
During this year, I expect an event to break the Kimbo record of 6.5 million.

I didn't see this moment (was outside in the yard whalloping my heavy bag with tekken-esque combos for 15 minutes) I think it's cool Natalia Silva landed a sweet chin music

It's neither good or bad. We don't actually know what's Paramount's targeted viewership numbers. But it's safe to say if the Ads increase over time we will know the answer

Dana did say at the post-fight press conference that the preliminary totals were about twice what Paramount expected, for what very little that's worth.
