UFC 300 confirmed bouts

We are 4 months away from UFC 300. Brock was announced for 200 a month before 200. People need to chill out.

Card has 8 former champions, 5 of which were champs just 1-2 fights ago. 13/16 are ranked fighters. And we still have another 4-6 fights to be added including a main event and maybe even two more title fights. I think this is all a symptom of people having out of this world expectations so anything short of that seems weak. Take the “300” off it and people are excited.

Yeah it really goes to show that people's expectations are Wild lol, there isn't a single bad fight on 300 as it is. Every fight is atleast "good". The only fight i'd say doesn't belong on the card is nickal vs brundage, but if it's not obvious they want nickal to be a house hold name .... well, I got a bridge to sell that person.

I am excited for every confirmed fight except the females and that's only because I'm a sexist who usually assumes female fights suck. But sometimes they rock. I don't watch enough WMMA to know if this one will suck or rock.

I just think they need a good main event, something like Pereira vs Aspinall/Izzy 3 or Islam/Edwards. If they topped it off with another curveball retired fighter like Brock or similar, it would be a 10.

Gave it a 3. Wasn't even gonna rate it, but since Do Bronx is involved I initially gave it a 10. Gathje and Holloway is gonna be great, but wish it wouldn't happen. All the other fights being included take it down to a 3 as the final score. Tough luck.

I don't know man. I guess my point is, for examples:

• Bo nickal is on the card, but is it against anyone we wanted to see him against?? ....no, it's practically another gimme fight for him.
• Kattar vs. aljo -- it's a good fight for sure, but was anybody asking for it? No, Wouldn't Kattar vs. Barboza or Yair be better? and wouldn't Aljo vs. ortega be better fights with those guys? Kattar vs. aljo seems like the least interesting fight you could make with those two.
• Charles vs Arman -- again, a great fight, but people wanted to see one of those guys against Islam in a bigger title fight.
• How about Figgy vs. Gabrandt? again, a good fight, but kind of from left field and odd match making considering Figgy just beat a guy that schooled gabrandt. Most expected better for Figgy.

It just feels like there's great fighters all over the card, but not the best matchmaking, you know what I mean? To be clear, I like the card, It's just if I had to make a criticism it would be that it feels like the match making is kind of odd, like they scrambled last minute for it and didn't plan at all or something.

Yeah I definitely agree the matchmaking seems rushed. Between the Dana White announcements and the random (but good) fights it is suprising how unprepared they are for this. I bet the main event isn't even a done deal yet.

300 should have been a project months in the making.

I think key word here id "random". The fights are good but so random that people are confused right now. That's on the UFC
