We need Conor Chandler main event. Izzy Pereira co main is ok. No heavyweights ? Ditch Miller Green and do Aspinal Gane or Gane Pavlovich.

I think key word here id "random". The fights are good but so random that people are confused right now. That's on the UFC

The UFC is just an extremely lazy organization now because the ESPN deal allows it to be. It's not disciplined for incompetence.

Ari doesn't know how MMA works. Dana barely knows any more than him and doesn't care any more. He cares more about slap fighting. This infects the rest of the employees.

Anyone paying attention can see that they just really don't give a fuck. So many of their decisions are random, which is a direct result of laziness.

It's a pretty sick card so far and they still haven't got the main event fights signed up yet.

If I got those 4 fighters, all in different fights, I'd not mind if the rest of the card was just chakoogian vs murphy for the other 8 fights.

  • Charles vs Arman -- again, a great fight, but people wanted to see one of those guys against Islam in a bigger title fight.
  • How about Figgy vs. Gabrandt? again, a good fight, but kind of from left field and odd match making considering Figgy just beat a guy that schooled gabrandt. Most expected better for Figgy.

It just feels like there's great fighters all over the card, but not the best matchmaking, you know what I mean? To be clear, I like the card, It's just if I had to make a criticism it would be that it feels like the match making is kind of odd, like they scrambled last minute for it and didn't plan at all or something.

Yair has a fight with ortega in february.

Katter vs Aljo is sensible match making. Aljo needs someone in the 6-10 spot to see where he stands at FW, Anyone higher would be too much, Anyone lower would be uninteresting.

Im not going to get into islam. You're one of the few that can see exactly what islam is doing, we know why armen vs charles is happening. we know that it shouldn't. We just have to try and enjoy that moment, rather than the consequences of the fight being made.

Garbrandt is always in exciting fights. They made this match up for the exciting factor. Nothing to do with rankings and such, which is okay for these two as they are both kind floating in the middle of no where. I agree though Figgy should be fighting sandhagen or something like that. He did just beat font, who is no slouch. Garbrandt should probably be fighting yanes

All of those guys: Ortega, Yair, Aljo, and Kattar were unbooked and looking for fights at the same time, so they could have easily went with the match making that I suggested, but instead went with the worst options in my opinion. Don't you agree that Aljo vs. ortega is more compelling? along with Kattar vs yair or barbosa? those guys were all free and looking for fights at the same time.....

Aljo is a multiple time defending champion in the weight below and moving into somewhat of an open division with only topuria as a fresh contender. Pereira never even defended his title yet got to move up and face a former champ and top 5 contender right away in Jan. I think Aljo deserved the same opportunity far more so than pereira, and in a division desperate for new conteders, aljo vs. ortega made all the sense in the world to me.

I don't think figgy should be floating in the middle of nowhere. He was a champ not that long ago and just beat a ranked opponent -- he's getting old but has one last chance for a title run and shouldn't be wasting it on "fun fights" against guys not even near him in the rankings. The fight with garbrandt is again, fine, but like with Aljo and kattar, I feel like they could have done a lot better. They have the right ingredients, just not the right mixture for me.

Yes, I'd have to agree that Aljo vs ortega is more compelling, but only by a little bit. Only by virtue that they booked ortega against yair, which is a rematch that isn't required. they have other fresh match ups for both yair and ortega. I think it's cause it's in mexico that they went with that match making. They probably just wanted both Yair and Brian to fight in Mexico.

I think this is good for Katter if anyone, it's a great chance to get him back in the title mix. Aljo is a fighter that most people don't like, so kicking his ass badly (which is what I expect) should go over big with the fans and get katters name going again.

the other one is like when two former champs fight, everyone loves that.



Speaking of former champs, how about Cruz Vs Umar or somehting? I'd like to see Cruz bee on the special card. he's a legend too, and if he had an official retirement fight why not here.
 
They’re putting together one hell of a card.
 
It looks like it'a going to be Izzy vs Poatan 3 and that's a sh*t outcome.

Settling a trilogy is not 'epic' and could be done on any random card.
 
Its very good but not great.

Pereira vs Aspinall would make it bigger and better.
 
This is a good card. Add a couple of quality HW fights and it's great.
 
It's not big enough yet at all. No Islam ? No khamzat vs Izzy? No Poatan. The one title fight is eh. The pink goof needs to do something.
