I see the logic, although I believe Jourdain has a much better chance of getting into the top 10 than Mallot, but I'm just talking aesthetics. If you're trying to make a ppv look more appealing to the consumer then putting Magny on the ppv, just before Raquel Pennington nonetheless, is borderline gross.

Maybe for the ticket buyer in Canada it's better though, I have no idea how big of a star Mallott is there.

Malott is 10-1 in his MMA career and is 3-0 in the UFC with all wins being finishes.

Jourdains is 6-5-1 in the UFC. He's a fun fighter but the UFC can't fool anybody into believing he's a possible contender right now the way they can with Malott.

It's clear as day who is more deserving to be on the main card. Regardless of Magny being the opponent, especially since you know ideally the UFC wants him to get smashed. Jourdain vs Woodson will probably be a solid fight too as far as a fight of any significance, Magny vs Malott has it beat. Fights should get more significance as the card progresses, not less.

Strickland/DDP and Allen/Evloev are good fights. Curtis/Barriault Magny/Malott, and Jourdain/Woodson are ok but not fights that really get me excited. Losing Jan/Rakic and Ulberg/Reyes really hurt this card. It’s ok overall, but terrible for a ppv event. The next few after it are bangers though so let’s hope they stay in tact.

And think… if he wins he will be 11-1 in the UFC with the only loss to Max. He should be right back in a title contender or even a TS with a win imo

Movsar is a tough out. Both fighters have a lot of untapped potential. I'm still not really sure what Movsar is, he looks shaky some rounds and great others.

I really wanted to go to this one since it will be the first live event in Toronto since the pandemic, but the prices are absolutely ridiculous. Over $500 for a single nosebleed seat is crazy. Plus the card is mediocre anyways, there were fight nights in the past few years that were more stacked than this.
