ddp was more active , strickland was clearly the more technical fighter but stopped doing much of anything through the middle rounds

I agree, but I know how MMA is scored. This doesn't shock me. He did absolutely NOTHING with those takedowns and whiffed at air a lot. I was pulling for him to win, but he really didn't do much to win the fight, IMO.
