True, for me the takedowns were the difference in the second round. Sean just accepts whatever comes as long as he can stay in his comfort zone. That is not how you fight in this kind of fight. Pressure of Dricuss got to him, the further it went, the more DDP landed. Add those takedowns and he edged it, I had it 3-2 DDP.

This is why I am adamantly against belts changing hands in razor thin decisions. DDP honestly did not definitively beat Strickland and I would say the same for either fighter if the situation were reversed

I think a (majority) draw was probably the right call. Nobody won that fight. Was super close, so going either way is fair.

...Strickland didn't have much fire in him tonight. Didn't even yell or bark at DDP during the fight.
...DDP was controlling the action. Takedowns, variety of strikes, head kicks, body kicks.
...Strick had some good jabs and a few other good right hands.

I was hoping for a Du Plessis win but he clearly lost the first 3 rounds by getting his face jabbed off, and then arguably lost the 5th. Once again MMA fans (and even Cormier) scored the fight for him just because he was going forward the whole time.
