Surprised it was 30-27 across the board. I honestly thought Weidman won the 2nd. Right guy won either way so whatever.

Yeah the Chris had some moments in there. He wobbled Tavares multiple times in the 2nd and 3rd.

The right guy won but scorecard should have been 29-28.

Judges had to weigh that leg kick that stumbled Chris really heavily, because Chris walked Tavares down the entire round and landed a lot of big strikes.

They also must've missed where Chris briefly dropped Tavares

That was such a hard fight to watch. You could tell Chris, despite his toughness, just wasn't feeling confident at all. I really don't want to see him fight again, and just making it back in there after such a nasty injury was really the only victory he needed. Please hang 'em up Chris.

Should have both loss. No contest.
One fighter was losing and the other fought like he didn’t want to win
eh?! but did you cheer the wmma silva on earlier? tavares dominated, worked those legs, defended all takedown attempts, easy, decisive victory against TeH ChRiS

Chris should have pressured more with punches when he had Tavares on the cage instead of going for TD's he landed good strikes there. Would have protected his legs more there too.

Why is the promo advertising as if Conor will be fighting Chandler tonight?

This fight was important. It showed us that Brad Tavares really has no place in the UFC.
Circling away from a badly hurt Weidman. Amazing
Nah, you’re just butthurt. Brad showed amazing takedown defense and lethal leg kicks.

This fight showed Chris has a fighter's heart. Incredible display by fighting with a leg that was literally broken in two not too long ago and another one that was being chopped off by the dude with juiced up all natty legs.

185: Brad Tavares (19-8) gets the UD over Chris Weidman (15-6). Leg kicks and shutout takedown defense gets the job done for the Hawaiian veteran. Major props to Chris for coming back from a crushing leg injury and taking it the distance.

See you all in the main card thread.

Brings weidman to 2-7 in his last 9. And tavares just isn't a contender. Really should considering hanging them up consering chris's surgery count already.
nah he’s good. He can still break Sam Alvey’s record.
