UFC 292 Disclosed Salaries Released

Chris is 2-8 since 2015 which is not even journeyman level.

Im not sure you’re understanding. Magny has never sniffed a title shot and has headlined two cards I believe which were both fight night cards. Weidman was a champion who defended the belt three times and has headlined numerous cards including PPVs. It’s not hard to see why one is paid more than the other.

some people really think neil magny's wall'n'stall journeyman bullshit should get him 1million dollars, dont they?

It's just bizarre how much money gets talked about here, it's like unavoidable. I trust the UFC/fighters to work that shit out and find a contract they like. PFL/One/Bellator pay a shit load, so I know UFC has to match or beat that mostly. If UFC paid what people on sherdog wanted everyone paid, they'd probably go broke. I wish it was on the level of NFL, but MMA is a new sport and niche. Boxing has been around forever yet pays everyone pennies unless you're main event level, which I don't think is what UFC should want to emulate.

Pretty much this. When is the last time a fighter on the opening fight of the undercard got paid $50,000 in boxing? And hell she would’ve made $100,000 if she would’ve won.

Certainly didn’t hurt but if he was just there for the check there were numerous times in that fight he could’ve quit if he wanted to.

Oh yes Bro. Chris gave it everything he had and was trying to get a finish even in his wounded state.

I'm sayin that's good money and I don't blame him for earning it.
