Good to see the champs Sean, Aljo and Weili getting paid 2x of the Nelk boys' birthday present

Most Overpaid: Magny
Most Underpaid: Blackshear dude was on a 14 day turnaround, they should have given him at least 50k.

Chris Weidman got $426,000 for a prelim fight that was absolutely awful.

At least Weidman was actually trying to win as futile as it was. He was constantly shooting for takedowns and winging punches. Magny looked like he quit when the first leg kick landed.

You'd pay Weidman more than 3x what Magny got for that 'performance'?

That fight cost over $700,000.

That’s true, it was pretty much the same fight

That’s not how these things work. You sign a contract before the fight starts. Also your math sucks. Of course Weidman is going to be paid more than Magny; he’s a former champion who had three title defenses. Magny is a journeyman.

Wow. Rising star Future Ian Garry did not even make enough to purchase new home. Many say that middlecard class pay is ok, but it is in fact #verybad because Garry does not yet have the security of having a warm home, unlike many more privilege upper-card class athlete. Meanwhile, even preliminary combatants in other sports like Power Slap are able to quit their jobs and train full-time from the luxury of their very own homes.

Fighters should not in fact suffer from #homelessness as it is detrimental to their career growth. Not a good look for Endeavor founder and dictator Ari Emanuel.

That isn't maths.

I already know they sign contracts.

Someone said "the most overpaid".

The most overpaid fighter was Chris Weidman.

He earned nearly half a million dollars for a really poor performance as part of a really bad fight that had virtually no highlights.

Chris Weidman was the most overpaid fighter.

What do you mean “That isn’t maths”?

You thought $426,000 + $200,000 equaled over $700,000.

I'm pretty sure Tavares won and got his win bonus, WTF.

Lol, Jesus Christ people on here are lost.

I thought fighters were underpaid? Now fighters are overpaid. Wtf.

I've been saying for a long time, fighters paid good and accordingly to what they offer.

"Most overpaid" is a relative statement.

It doesn't actually mean that anyone was overpaid. They could have all been drastically underpaid and someone could still have been the "MOST overpaid".
