UFC 229: McGregor vs Khabib

I struggle to see how Holtz can win this fight. Pillow fists and not great anywhere. Patrick is a step up in competition by large margin. finally he is fighting someone who belongs in the UFC. I'm thinking about ballsy move and parlaying all my bets with patrick. He is better everywhere and it's not even close
Thats a brasilian Khabib.

Wouldn't say he is Khabib but he is fairly athletic and skilled in all areas. I would fade him against better guys but this should be easier fight for him than Stevie Ray.
And than Jon Makdesi and Damir Hadzowic.

Im confident in
Alan Patrick
Felice Herrig
Sean O Malley
Hey @Danis_champ what you think ?
Patrick = LOCK
Herrig vs Waterson will be another very close fight...split decision probably. Waterson might ruin your parlay. I would hedge the fuck out of your parlay..
Malley? He is overrated. Quinonez is a good boxer. I must watch tape. I would pass this fight. Malley has holes in his grappling. Fucking Souk outgrappled him

To be Devilas Advocate Sean was fighting with 1 leg in r3 !!! Thats why he got outgrappled.
If Waterson ruins this parlay than I will stop flaping to her pictures

I try not to bet into hype trains, since public money in MMA's usually going to be on the guy with a vastly-bigger following.

Sure but Jose is beatable and Sean is the next big thing, he is improving from fight to fight. He dominated Andre for 2.5 rounds until the injury.
He has heart and a specific stand up which works well.
The odds should be abit closer though but Im on Sean.

I like Martin as underdog, but I was a bit hesitant to bet more than 1u. Nakamura looked so flat against him, that to me it seemed like Martin should have been even more dominant. I added another half unit after reading this: https://mmajunkie.com/2018/04/tony-...pounds-after-ufc-atlantic-city-mike-brown-mma Looks like he was following his corner's advice to fight smart and to get better feel for fighting at 170.

Put a spritz on Pettis' DEC +511. Neither of these two really look to offensively wrestle and plus the red flags on Tony. Tony's pressure and boxing is a concern of course but Pettis' has good range with kicks.

Who You got in this fight ?
In terms of picks I'll take Herrig for pretty much the same reason everyone bet Casey (Herrig being more physical in the clinch, on the ground, etc and has a boxing advantage). KH's sidekicks and speed will make the fight competitive but KH showed she cant really stick and circle all 15 (slowed down a lot vs Casey). Pretty close fight and I think the odds are about right as they stand. Not sure how to play this fight yet.

Felice got luckily better wrestling and not the brick fight IQ like Cortney so she should win this fight with the right gameplan.
Should be similiar to the Grasso fight.

Not sure I agree with the Grasso sentiment. She and Herrig had a boxing match for the most part where Grasso didn't really pull the trigger iirc. Maybe some grappling that I dont remember but although Grasso has some ok BJJ remember she still was able to be put on her back with some shoulder pressure and got full mounted by atomweight Mizuki.

I'd say the opposite. I like Pettis ITD a lot since Ferguson's there to be hit, but I can't see many situations in which Ferg doesn't win the decision if it gets there since he'll probably double/triple Pettis' volume and consistently be the aggressor.

Waterson besides her looks (flap flap) is very overrated, Felice is the right side in this fight.

I smell a upset here, Tony is coming back from a big injury and Pettis normaly struggles against wrestlers. Tony doesnt have ko power and his ofensive wrestling isnt that great too

Never thought I would say this...but I think Conor has value at +odds.

Khabib's only great win is against RDA, and wrestlers always smash BJJ guys. Colby Covington also beat RDA, and I wouldn't bet him against Conor in a million years.

His wins vs Barboza, MJ, and Iaquinta were all comfortable, but Conor is light years better than any of those guys. He has also beat 5 guys who are better than all 3-- Alvarez, Aldo, Poirier, Mendes, and Holloway.

Conor will spend some time on his back, but he doesn't need a huge time window to finish. Only needed 30 seconds at the end of round 2 to KO Mendes. And Khabib is such a non-finisher, Conor should have plenty of windows to KO over course of 5 round fight.

Also Khabib's takedowns not the same as Mendes, who is much more explosive. Just bc Mendes got there doesn't mean Khabib will. Not that Eddie's wrestling is nearly on Khabib's level, but Conor's takedown D was excellent in that fight.

Only concern is that Conor is always drunk or coked up lately, but he is only 30 and I doubt he is completely washed. Maybe he's a bit worse than before, but he's the better athlete, 4" better reach, better finisher, has a better hit list. Those are a lot of favorable points for a +140 dog.
