Cliffys:
Will you try to avoid striking with Joanna?
Andrade said:
Nope, not at all. I will be coming after her and I will show that although I have a different style of striking I can hang with her just fine.
What's your favorite way to finish a fight?
Andrade said:
Whatever is quickest !
Who is your favorite fighter (Have you met John Lineker) ?
Andrade said:
For sure, we have a very strong group of people coming up, very soon you will be hearing of them.
Specially my training partners, Priscila Cachoeira 5-0 at 135lbs, Maria Oliveira 8-2 at 105/115lbs

And my favorite fighter is Cris Cyborg !
Do you think you can finish JJ?
Or are things like that never on your mind for an upcoming fight?
Andrade said:
Thank you!
For sure, she is as finishable (is that a word?) as anyone. This kind of thing is aways on my mind, the fact that I can finish her and I will finish her is on my mind constantly.
Hi Jessica,of all your victories who was tougher than you expected them to be?
Andrade said:
Rosi Sexton for sure, she was extremely tough... I dont think I ever hit anyone as much and as hard as hit her and I couldnt get a finish.
If the UFC ever adds a Flyweight division would you think about going up to it? How is the cut to Strawweight for you?
Andrade said:
Not really, the cut has been very easy on me and I feel the best at straw. But I wouldnt mind fighting at Fly or even at Bantam again if its a fight that makes sense.
Once Im champion that will change probably as I wont be able to be as active as I want because of the belt.
Assuming that you will win on May 13th, what is your perfect title defense?
Good luck on May 13th, huge fan of your blitzkrieg approach.
Andrade said:
That is a tough one, so many great fighters on the UFC rankings. Maybe the winner or claudia x KArolina?
How will you finish Joanna, TKO or submission?
Good luck to you on May 13!
Andrade said:
Whichever comes easier
But I do see a bigger chance of a KO than a submission.
How did you get your nickname?
Andrade said:
Piled drived a girl on her head in my first BJJ competition and got DQed for it
Nobody at the gym would ever let me forget that so they gave me the nickname
What does your strength and conditioning program consist of? Its been very good considering we have to make a few changes for the 5 rounds.
Andrade said:
I do alot of running and strengh and conditioning. Both pretty much everyday.
I think this is your first time preparing for a 5 round fight, so I'm wondering if training has been different for this one? Also, do you train specifically for your opponent, or do you simply train to improve your own strengths?
Andrade said:
Thanks and good luck. Joanna's chin seems like it may be ready to crack any day now.
Yes, many things specially on strenght and conditioning had to be adjusted for the 5 rounds. I need to make sure that I can keep the same output and frequency for 5 rounds that I have been doing for 3 and so far it has been going great.
And yes, I do work on my opponents game every time. I know what I do and adjusting that to what my oponents do is key to getting the win.
How big was your last fight with Angela Hill for momentum and confidence heading into your fight with Joanna/
Andrade said:
WAs huge, I got the chance to work a full 15 minutes of standup in the division and make sure my stamina was where it had to be.
Hey Jessica.
What do you feel are the best weapons of JJ in the upcoming fight and how are you adjusting your training/fighting style in order to counter those?
Andrade said:
Good luck in your fight and hopefully the next Q/A will be with the belt on your shoulders!
Her striking technique is extremely good, her use of elbows specially for mma together with her front kicks make it a tough style to work against.
But its all things we can deal with given the time we had to prepare.
Did you spend your bonus money from your last fight on anything?
Andrade said:
Yeap, I put quite a lot of it in my camp
what in your opinion are or is Joannas biggest weakness in her stand up? thank you!
Andrade said:
Joanna has a fantastic standup but she cant be throwing at all time on all rounds, she is going to leave openings where I will be able to put on my strikes...this is not a specific thing of her, just a general thing that I can use against anyone. On her style in particular there are a couple of things but you will see them on may 13th
