Green gasses pretty badly and he doesn't deal damage, he is a grinder. He might steal a round with his chain wrestling, but I highly doubt that he will win the fight.
Emmett is by far the better stiker, he will destroy Green on the feet, and he isn't a bad wrestler either

And green is undersized

I do not follow Luca much at all although I know he's a scumbag, but I'm pretty sure I heard that he tried changing his results on a 3rd party site or something and got called out for it. Absolutely ridiculous. The more I think about, the more I wish he gets punished somehow/someway

I have a hard time really getting upset about it. He's "scamming" people who are completely lazy and hoping to make money in a shady industry in the easiest way possible.

After watching tape it looks like Green has cardio for 3-5 rounds, but only because he's SO inactive. He only does some takedowns to win rounds, but that wont go with the new rules as well. If he fought the same pace as Emmett did last fight, he will be done after 1,5 rounds. Im very unimpressed with Green. He has one weapon, and that's the takedown over and over again.

Gillespie has a very good gas tank. He can wrestle for days IMO. Holbrook can make Gillespie work, but besides the transitions from Holbrook, I see Gillespie being a step in front all the time. I wanted him at a much better price, but I still took some action on -200. I will give GG close to 80% with a 20% chance of a Holbrook SUB.

This. Green is so inactive.

And green is undersized

Is he really at this point? I know he used to fight at 145 lbs, but he's fought most recently at LW (in which he had trouble getting down to that weight) and before that at 170 lbs. His last 4 fights have been 155 lbs, 170 lbs, 165 lbs, and 155 lbs. He's wrestled at 157 lbs before and most of his wrestling was 149 lbs. 145 lbs was a major cut for him. Green is 5'10" to Emmett's 5'7".

Great point. Plus people are acting like Emmit quit in that fight; he didn't. He pushed through exhaustion for a well deserved win. Dude has heart. That's a big plus in my book.

I also know I'm not supposed to talk about future cards but I'm catching Lawler Cerrone in Vegas in July. Just secured my tickets and I'm pretty pumped.

Can't back Emmett unless hes maybe -160ish at some point. I don't think much of Holtzmann (even though he did look much better in their fight), and he gave Emmett a lot of trouble. Just leaning a 1u play on Emmett dec if the odds are ok

Does anyone remember Green gassing besides his last fight? I don't really remember him having a major issue with it at all and he's been in 5 rounders. I assumed he must have had a god awful weight cut in the last one.

In regards to Gillespie, does he have a decent gas tank? As I've mentioned before, I'm not a fan of Holbrook, but he will make you work and he is great at making it look like he's far more effectively offensively than he really is. Judges like his style.

He gassed as he was made to work couldnt coast like he normally does. Greens volume is pathetic and he doesnt like to fight emmetts gonna make him fight and des will become a panic wrestler

Re: Green's cardio and the fight BD itself

Yea, guys, Green has significant issues with his cardio from time to time. He has missed weight x2 and was forced to try the ole Daniel Strauss trick of cutting off his Predator style dreads just to attempt to hit the mark. I have watched all of his fights since he was fighting Henry Martinez in the NES days and then threw AXS/HDNet on to Titan FC and I can tell you a bit about him.

First thing that you need to know about Green is that he is a pillow fisted striker with above average athleticism and virtually no explosion or quick twitch muscles to accentuate his wrestling game. A decent wrestler from the University of Buffalo, Desmond is for all intents and purposes a wet blanket. However, much of this blanketing comes via the vertical stylings as he loves to initiate the clinch and wall-and-stall his way to victory lane. He rarely threatens with a submission and even more rare is his success in said effort. Specifically, in 24 fights he only has one submission and that was all the way back in 2012. Ostensibly, Green is a decision machine very reminiscent of what we see from Emmanuel Sanchez. In fact, nearly 70% of Green's wins or by the session.

Green has always done well when he could be the bigger man and at featherweight he was just this. However, that edge is gone as a '55er and at LW Josh Emmett is going to be the bigger are more powerful man in the cage. Moreover Emmett will not be concerned with Green's striking whatsoever and he will walk through whatever Desmond throws for sure.

Regarding the cardio: Green's gas tank has historically been hit or miss through the years. However, what has remained constant is his Lesnar-esque propensity to avoid a fight. Worse still, if his opponent makes it dirty, Green is known to shut down. This result in much of his conditioning issues I am. When things start to get nasty in there, Green begins shooting for panic takedowns from 10 feet across the cage with no set ups. I see this happening again with Josh because of his ability to make things dirty in there.

maybe it isn't huge if he's making a career change to 155, etc

i do think the higher center of gravity is a negative against someone like emmett, tho.. stocky dude, hard to take down

was gonna say that: holtzman looked great in rd 1, prolly the best he's ever looked. he just couldn't maintain it and emmett pulled thru it

Exactly..to piggyback on your thoughts and my BD I would add..

On top of the panic wrestling, the striking is average at best. I mean, the standup attack of Green is very circa 2008-2013 Michael Bisping-esque before he started sitting down on his punches. Much like Bisping, Desmond sort of floats around the cage throwing out a lot of feelers without ever sinking the balls of his feet into the mat and really digging in for a power shot. Instead he is just striking and moving striking and moving striking and moving as he is literally "pulling his punches" in there. Of course this prohibits him from setting his feet and throwing heat. In turn it results in the inability for Green to get the respect of his opponent standing. The problem with this is that it makes it more difficult to get the takedowns.

Desmond's best weapon is certainly his right leg kick to the body. He really throws a nice stiff kick to the midsection and it takes a lot of wind out of his opponents sails. Other than that, he doesn't have much to offer standing and Josh should be able to walk through anything he throws.

Stylistically this is a bad matchup for Green. I think Emmett shots around-240 though I think we get a decision either way about 80% of the time. TBT Emmett and Green are a lot alike. That is to say, both are prototypical wrestle-boxers with decent athleticism. Emmett is a stick and move pocket boxer more power and diversity though. It's this diversity and striking power that separate the two. This advantage coupled with his powerful boxing and stick-to-itiveness will propel Emmett to victory in my opinion.

,.., this kinda thinking that got Trump elected, look at evidence instead of what you think. Then come to a conclusion, in this case, its that he's a fraud.

Must you remind me of this goon ITT. I come here to seek shelter from this buffoons name lol

I wish that was on the Anaheim card. That's the card I'm going to.
Fingers crossed Cyborg vs GDR is NOT that main event.

1u on Rosa @ 2.50...I don't really get the confidence in Burgos. He's way to unproven IMO and Rosa is definitely a step up in competition.

cormier sub @3.75 on betfair exchange..it's tempting, can't decide yet.
Cormier to finish the fight by sub or T/ko is @2.8 on bet365 if your interested. Worse odds but more chance.

Dude, that would a sick main event to see live

I wouldn't mind it as a co-main. Anaheim has had bad luck with events lately. I bought Tickets to Jose vs mendes and it was cancelled and UFC 208(Good thing) was moved to New York. I think Anaheim deserves a great card.

EDit: Hoping for GSp vs Bis but I know that's not gonna happen buddeh,

Edit 2: Lately* We've had some awesome events like UFC 76 Knockout with no knockouts and Brocktober.

Edit 3: Rousey's debut.

Green should have tried this instead

Yes, I was banned.
Some rat here tweeted Fury that I was using his avatar and then Luca used the search function to find out what else we have been talking about him. He found an old thread which was made by me where I called him liar and a fraud. Then he contacted Sherdog writer Mike Fridley and threatned to sue me or whatever (good luck with that LOL) I was told that Fridley banned me to save me from getting sued which I don't believe because I think Fridley and Luca are friends. They know I made a new account and they let me keep it. Mod wrote me this:

Nice to see cucks @NinjaCat456 and @Stunna77 talking shit about me when I'm not around. Thats a shitty beta snake move right here.

Lmao you delusional. You don't know what I made so why are you talking shit.. I played with peanuts in 2015 then found out that I am actually making profit and then started to play big game. Profited around 10k in 2016. This year im up 8,3K. Me stealing my grandma's savings was just a joke you silly boy.

When my elite bets didn't hit I lost about 2-3K per event and said it publicly. I never came out breakeven with live betting you silly. Hedging techniques helped me in the past. When did I say I absolutely win every time? For me its just win big or lose not so big. Results this year:

UFN 107 ($-300)
UFC 209 (+$5630)
UFN 105 (-$1500)
UFC 208 (+$500)
UFC Fight Night 104 (+$1600)
UFC on Fox 23 (-$1963)
UFC Fight Night 103 (+$5713)

Keep trying to deny the greatness. Winners focus on winning losers focus on winners.

@Joseph Budden was right. Honestly I was not behind Mr Luca Fury account. That troll account spoke perfect English.. how could that be me? I think I know who was it but let it be.

The whole "elite capper", "not seeing how 4+ team parlays can lose" and bragging about winnings just isn't my thing I guess, but you seem very well liked here so welcome back. I can't see the long parlay method being a great one long term, but it works for you apparently so to each their own. Keep on slaying the bookies and make Barry and your sherdog following proud!
