Agree. I guess I'll put a little more stock in the more recent fight. Also, I think if Ronda is getting it where she needs it early she's gonna end it anyway. If Nunes is keeping Ronda at bay and outstriking her, it's gonna take a lot more out of Ronda than it will out of Nunes. I think Ronda is going to TRY to be more measured in how she attempts to close distance, but once she gets popped a few times it most likely goes out the window. Then she rushes in and either gets the clinch and does what she does, or gets lit up and finished.

Rd 1 of the Shevchenko fight was almost like a warmup round. Barely anything occurred.

Man, I just rewatched that round and Oblivian is right. It was a basically a light sparring session until the 45 second mark when Nunes took her down and laid on top for the rest of the round. Which would explain why Nunes gassed later than usual (she was clearly exhausted in the 3rd round).

Why? The wrestling risk was always there did you not think cowboy had a path? Dont sweat it tho im big on means and im confident. Cowboy aint so good against real ww's. Means will get up if taken down and cowboy is porous defensively. And if he does cage hug 15 mins is a long time to spend in the clinch with someone like means. Cowboy could end up on his back in transition too and he sucks there. Brooks instantly mounted him and cerrone tapped him in seconds. Even hallmann dry humped for all r2.

Thats speculation though. We will never know if it would or wouldn't. But what I do know for sure is BC displayed skills in the clinch, size advantage or not. You're doing yourself a disservice if you think to yourself 'without that size advantage, BC sucks and loses' cause its simply not true (as far as sucking) and the other part is pure speculation

In general, dehydrating the human body to an extreme level is more taxing than...not doing it is my point though.

Of course but you can't just assume it would negate everything BC was able to do. He probably had 15 lbs at most on Brooks. When Frankie Edgar was a LW every single guy he faced had more than that on him yet he out wrestled everyone lol
