I think Dodson is a victim of his power. Before the fight he kept talking up his power and when he was landing flush with his left hand Lineker like the terminator he is ate that shit like a sandwich.

And I think the difference here is that Dodson has like a few weapons in his tool box and he just uses his footwork to set traps for his left hand mix in a couple kicks here and there. He backed himself into a fence with no other weapons to throw not even a TD.

With TJ he's got a deeper toolbox and weapons from every stance with good wrestling. I think he's got enough footwork to avoid getting trapped with his back on the cage. But man, it's really hard to measure what Lineker brings to the table. He's THE terminator. He didn't flinch once at anything Dodson threw him. I'll like TJ if he gets cheaper but right now it's pretty expensive.

I think/hope he gets down to the -180s by fight day so I'm not scrambling to play him.

That could happen. But I wouldn't be surprised if TJ elected to stand up too. TJ has something to prove to get his title shot and he's gotta have the confidence that he can strike with Lineker. I think he comes out with the same approach as the Barao fight.

Lineker is an interesting match up for anyone in the division he's got no fear and the chin to back it up.

But yeah if Ali B could UD Lineker I don't see why TJ couldn't. At the same time, if he wins in that same fashion as Ali did shooting in deep at the legs he's gonna look like a lil bitch on a PPV with Ronda on it.

I have 2.8u on her at -140 and I wasn't expecting her to get that high. I could be wrong as well, but I would think money is going to start coming in on her as we get closer to the fight.

I actually think Dodson was a tougher matchup for Lineker than TJ. TJ is slower and gets tagged much more. I think if TJ keeps this standing the whole time he's foolish. He needs to at least mix in wresting.

I honestly don't get the confidence in TJ here. He was getting tagged by Zombie Barao and even Joe Soto at times. He is not a defensive wizard or have blinding speed like Dobson. I think TJ is gonna have to dig deep to win this one

TJ is better than Lineker in every aspect of MMA. He's the better all around striker, better wrestler, better grappler, more diverse attack, etc. Lineker excelled vs. guys that tried to either go toe to toe with him in power vs. power (McDonald, Rivera, Dodson) or guys that were completely scared of him with zero ability to attack from outside punching range (McCall, Font). When he fought someone who could attack from kicking range and wrestle (Bagautionov) he had trouble. I see Dillashaw with avenues to win multiple ways. I said it previous in this thread - don't sleep on his grappling.

Maybe tjs getting a bit overrated here, Linekar has the power advantage combined with excellent sprawls, his chin is probably better then tjs also.

If tj does his cruz dance here with his footwork what is to stop linekar just chopping down tjs with leg kicks and cutting the cage off. Judges also favour guys that press forward and control the octagon so that could favour linekar here.

I actually think Lineker is getting over rated here lol at the end of the day he's still a guy who does literally one thing, despite how well he does it. Come forward, wing punches. I just can't see him beating smart, and much more diverse fighters in Cruz and Dillashaw. Count me on board with those thinking TJ schools Lineker here, would predict 30-27s

I'm going to play Lineker by dec and then hedge with TJ by decision closer to the fight if money comes in on the dog so I'll get a better line on TJ.

I'm trying to envision a RNC by TJ or Lineker catching him with flurry but I'm not leaning towards that in my head for some reason off a feeling.

I guess I'm looking to work the line when it comes to this fight.
