She has bad fight IQ against grapplers, because she can't defend takedowns for shit. Not an issue in this fight.I think Eye has some value. But you didn't mention that Eye has some of the worst fight IQ in the game, with almost zero sense of urgency when behind. At least Bethe can stick to a gameplan and is a predictable fighter.
As far as moneyline it is a Live bet only fight for me. The over is juiced but tempting.
OH shit here come the props
Maybe cause I wrestled before jiu jitsu, but honestly as far as cardio goes doing jiu jitsu was BY FAR easier than wrestling/sparring imo. Doesn't say muchHave you taken into account that Gall competes against the best guys in the world in grappling tourneys? Depending on format, the matches can be as long or longer than 15 minutes (with no breaks). Anyone that's ever competed in these knows the kind of cardio necessary to do it. Esp against the guys he's competing against.
After watching tape I really like Eye in this fight, I think she dominates her way to a decision.
Huge speed advantage, home town advantage. Yes she's looked bad in her last few fights, but that's against elite level competition. She didn't pull the trigger at all in the McMann fight because she knows once she gets taken down she can't get up. She doesn't have that to worry about in this one.
Bethe looked improved in the Raquel fight but she's still slow and doesn't hit hard enough to cause Eye problems like Tate did, and doesn't have the grappling to cause Eye problems like McMann and Pena did. It's most likely going to be 3 rounds of striking and with speed and volume, and the fight being in Cleveland, I think Eye takes it pretty handily like she did in the Leslie Smith fight (well, it would have been a dominant decision if Smith's ear didn't explode).
The only thing that worries me is Bethe is probably physically stronger and could have success clinching Eye against the cage like she did in the 3rd round against Raquel.
I'd love to hear thoughts from anyone else who's watched tape on this one too. I'm probably going to be pretty big on Eye.
She didn't pull the trigger because she was scared of takedowns by an Olympic wrestler. She's fighting a brawler now who's been training for 4 years. Completely different match-up.
I get what you're saying. If Eye DEC was even close to that (like +200) I would like that a lot better. CUrrently +150, tho =/all over correia DEC +241
she's never finishing eye and this is a razor close match
Wouldn't be surprised if he knocked Werdum out, he hurt him in their first fight and Werdum is coming off a knockout loss (so is Browne).got .5u on Browne wins by Dec @ +1005. I think that's the only way he wins? But who knows.
What I think everyone can actually trust in this Punk fight is his mind and cardio. I mean wrestling is fake we all know that but it's not like someone else is doing their work for them. And even before his wwe career Punk was known for wrestling long ass matches in the indies. He has never depended on roiding or drugs to pull through the painful scheduling either. I think Gall's cardio is more of a question mark at this point despite the "age advantage".

I'd love to hear your reasoning.i favor correia in the fight

Gotcha. I ever so slightly lean Eye, and the hometown advantage in a fight that is likely to go the distance sways me away from a Beth playi favor correia in the fight
