No way to know. Gall could easily gas and then it could be a close sloppy decision lol. That's why I don't understand people going big on Gall round 1 at such shitty odds.

I am not worried about Punk's cardio. He looks amazing and I am sure he is incorporating cardio into his regime. He doesn't look too bulky either.

My concern about Gall is that he is underestimating Punk and not putting in the work that he should. I know he likes the media stuff and is doing lots of media related activities. If Gall plans to just walk through Punk in r1 he could be in for a surprise if it turns into a close fight.

Another thing to bear in mind is Punk is coming off of a back injury....

Punk looked to be "coming on strong" (though with terrible technique) in the second Evolution of Punk video in the kickboxing sparring, but that could have been the effect of editing. That's why this fight is so hard to cap. There's no real video on Punk.
I'm just curious because I really wonder how the fight will play out if Gall cannot finish Punk in round one. With my very limited knowledge of this fight, I feel Punk has the edge after round one. I agree with the possibility of a close sloppy decision

Side note: The crowd should be heavily on Punk's side. I honestly feel like that plays a factor in close rounds/fights that go the distance, not like this is expected to or anything like that

I see history repeating itself and CM punk KOing an overconfident Mickey Gall in r1-r2
Gonna throw a flyer on punk by KO :D

I'm probably in the minority here, but I am honestly curious to see what Rivera's R1 and KO line will pay

Good to hear Jojos been improving her foot work, but the issue still remains if andrande comes out like a terminator her hooks go left and right and really don't give opponents a chance to get away let alone acting like a female terminator.

On other news Bethe wants to fight Cyborg, was going to laugh at that but then read Cowboy vs Lawler for ufc 205 and went dead.

Watching the countdown show, Gall is definitely on the spectrum.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

"Bro he's too smart, he spent 300k on this camp" isn't exactly solid reasoning. He made painfully obvious adjustments (throwing leg kicks against a Diaz and not gassing himself out in the first round) and still nearly got finished and barely won a decision.
Not sure why you're bashing Schaubs prediction when he was right and you were on Diaz. If those adjustments were so painfully obvious then why throw 5u on Diaz?

Because I didn't expect Diaz to fight like shit

Id be very worried about punks cardio. This is his first real fight he could have a massive adrenaline dump.

This is a shit assessment but whatever
Not really, it was an amazing fight but he didn't fight as well as I expected him to. Standing and banging was silly when he could have just tried to get takedowns and clinched more to gas Conor out quicker.

Card posted Gail's fights pre-UFC. He subbed a guy in the 3rd rd after a pretty grueling grappling pace for the first 2 rounds. Plus Gall is all over the grappling circuit and depending on format some matches require good cardio.

If the fight goes past rd 1 (and I don't expect it to given what I believe is a huge grappling advantage for Gall) I don't see cardio being an issue for Gall. Unless he's completely blown off his training which would be unbelievable given he's gone from a nobody to in the spotlight and this fight is his meal ticket.

I thought Nate won anyway LOL. But yeah he didn't adapt as well as he should have.

Thats cause you expected him to be able to fight how he wanted cause you didn't expect the adjustments Conor made like Schaub did. Effectively attacking the lead leg alone drastically affects Diaz since he stands heavy on the lead leg and shoulder rolls punches. Both of those things are eliminated the way Conor fought.

Nate didn't have to stand and bang and eat those leg kicks in those early rounds. I thought the Diaz camp would expect the leg kicks, he could have clinched up and pushed Conor against the fence until he gassed out.

Everyone expected Conor to throw leg kicks, me included. It was obvious. But I expected Nate to make obvious adjustments too.

Its hard to make adjustments when on top of the kicks Conor's boxing game was a lot more methodical. You're making it seem like Diaz wanted to just get his ass whooped, and not lending enough credence to what made Conor so successful at whooping his ass
