Now granted the players don't see any of that money but damn did the UFC screw their guys.

"Split this money up you goofs."

You don't understand how sponsorships work

Maybe not but it just goes to show that nobody wants to touch the UFC. We had to settle for a 3rd tier sports apparel company. Might as well have been British Knights making our uniforms.

Under Armour money.

I'll be the last person the defend the Reebok deal, but there's a lot of things to consider. What kind of exposure do college playoffs bring compared to MMA? Also, I'm assuming this is for all their athletic programs, not just a single sport.

Reebok is the new hotness.....Not Nike or Under Armour!

British Knights! Good stuff, homeboy.... I forgot about them.... them and the crazy big Fila's..... #olkskool

UCLA Brand > UFC

How many title UCLA basketball won?
College footbaal also freaking huge deal.
add baseball team, track & field list goes on and on

That being said, not even 20millions/years
Not that big of deal, Lebron get more than that....

UFC is bigger than all but a handful of individual sports teams. Valued at roughly 3 billion. So I kind of doubt that.

Then why did they settle for a shit-tier sponsor like Reebok instead of Nike or Under Armor? You're right though. Monetarily-speaking, UFC is probably bigger than a lot of teams. "Name brand recognition"-wise, that's another story.

It's not hard to imagine companies finding the image of MMA to be problematic for their brand. Doesn't mean at all the UFC isn't bigger and more recognized than any number of college programs.

Never heard of ucla and everyone knew the reebook deal was appalling low.60m for 6 years or whatever it was.Conor and Ronda alone could of gotten more sponsorship money in that period then reebok are giving

Lol... I made a thread about this a while back. I never understood this about fellow sports fans. I'll be watching Packer, Red Wings, or Tigers game with some friends and hear "I think we're going to be good this year." or "Our defense could use some work." It's like they are so vested in what they are watching that they think they are part of the team:D
