Two thoughts on draws

I like draws

I think there needs to be more draws

Absolutely. I am in favor for eliminating typical 10-9 rounds and turn them into 10-10 rounds. So you could only win a fight by scoring 10-8 round or by finish.

If they implement this we immediately grt rid of boring neutralizing fighters who have a hard time finishing opponents or give them a good 10-8 beating. We would never even heard of Kamaru Usman.

Why must there always be a winner? If a fight is close a draw is more fair. I hate it they always force to be a winner be stupid nonsense like octagon control or hugging or being the harmless blanket....

Just rewatched Figueiredo-Moreno and I kinda see where Junichiro Kamijo was coming from

RD1: close round, but slight edge to Figgy
RD2: Figgy landed heavier shots. Moreno landed 2 takedowns but couldn't do anything with them. Figgy looks a whole weight class bigger, and he just kicks Moreno off of him and stands up.
RD3: 9-9 with the point deduction. I guess fight stats say Moreno landed more significant strikes but it definitely seemed like Figgy was landing better shots
RD4: Moreno beat the crap out of Figgy
RD5: Low-output round. Moreno was doing very little and Figgy was doing even less. Figgy had a flurry of activity including a TD in the last 13 seconds, I could maybe see it stealing the round, but kinda think Moreno was ahead at least to that point.
