Two thoughts on draws

They couldnt cancel it. After the Conor fiasco just a few days earlier they had to go all in. Got to captialize on the pandemonium which eventually led to the highest grossing ppv in MMA history

Yeah they went all or nothing on the $$$ but not a logical matchup with any relevance to what the belt means or is, Al couldn't even win the Belt, It was a mess.
I'm proposing a Number 1 Contender who drew with an actual Champion potentially has a better claim for an Interim Belt than fighting a 1 day notice middle ranked opponent who literally can't even win the belt, it's not always cut and dry who gets belts for what.

If an immediate rematch doesn't happen splitting the belt lets you hype two different fights. And the eventual unification fight would also be incredibly hype with both fighters bringing their pieces back to the cage for a literal unification of the belts

Fights are fights. A vacant belt is not a fight it's just an unfortunate circumstance.

At the end of the day belts are fake and they're just a tool to give the fighters extra motivation, hype the title fights and promote the champion. If the belt is vacant the tool is not being used fully

Immediate rematch..always....no questions asked...period...full stop when theres a draw

And i had moreno winning..i dunno how the judges gave the nut punter round to Figgy...probably didnt like the point deduction so they gave him the round so it wouldnt make a significant difference in the scorecards...but it absolutely should....that kick was blatant and fucking hard....it undoubtedly affected the fight...the scorecard should represent that...that should of been a 10-8 round for moreno...Moreno was coughing/almost vomiting and figgy got a chance to breathe when he was clearly starting to gas..he also fouled earlier with the eye rake on the ground

I had rounds 2,3,4 for Moreno and 1 and 5 for figgy..

"If we have a draw the champion keeps his belt and the challenger gets nothing" is a rule. "If we have a draw the champion and challenger are now co-champions" is also a rule
