Every time Sherdog makes a change people throw a tantrum and some e-suicide over it.
It been this way for years.

Its amazing how problem free peoples life must be if this shit throws them over the edge. Personally I got shit in real life and are busy as hell, this minor thing is not even a blip on my radar.. Well only its been amusing as hell to read and troll people.


Most of them come crawling back, if they are not a ban on sight.
I doubt 50% will leave, lets see how the coming weeks looks.
But I seriously doubt a mass exodus.

It's nearly 20:00 on a Friday evening so yeah, I'm drunk, even then I amended my post immediately for clarity...

You have to realise the people are emotional and people will over-react... so, knowing this, why in the ever-loving giant, jumping fuck balls would you force the implementation of something as idiotically stupid as this for a fucking karate forum?

Forums are dying out as it is, even if you lose only 20% of the members, it can be catastrophic for the viability of the product.

I know, I just find it funny that what I assume is grown ass men, overreact on a karate forum.
A grown ass man should know to step away from the interweb and take a break.
Not meltdown and e-suicide.

Well... this is years old and do NOT reflect on the current owners who I know nothing about.
But when I was in the gaming industry I contacted the owners of Sherdog to try and make a deal to make avatars on here "build your own fighter" stuff with the potential to also create content and sell, like custom shorts and on and on.

I had a few discussions with them but it mounted to nothing well as you can tell..
They could not get into their thick sculls that they had a forum...
All focus was on the main site.
Zero fucks was given about the forum.


Now as I said that was previous and +15 years ago.

based on that old story and my ass, I some times wonder how big deal the forum really is to the owners. As you say its a dying format and I am sure traffic has gone down over the years.

well the future will tell. Personally I did the 2 step, I provided no new info to Sherdog that they did not already have.. It was and is a nothing burger to me.

IF they start with validate your account (like LinkedIN) and want a scan of photo ID, I will leave. But this? Naw man .

He posted his YouTube back in the day and had forgotten to change the profile..
I also seen a mod note a friend got, he got a warning, the mod slipped up..

I was sarcastic we have several girls on here...
Some fly under the radar and does not post that they are chicks.
I wont "out" any but yeah there are quite a few.

I have been working in cyber security for nearly a quarter century now... long before it was known as "cyber security".

I know enough to know that although, it may not be a big issue... people are emotional and will over-react to the point, they make it a big issue.

People will be saying, and rightly so... if I don't need it for my banking, why the fuck would I need it for a karate forum? ...and that's a REALLY good question, which I have yet to see a remotely credible answer to.

From a business perspective... what in the ever-loving fuck are you clowns thinking?

I have 2 steps on most shit, PayPal, shopping sites, email, LinkedIn.
Hell to do banking and book a time at the doctor (online) or picking up a parcel I use digital ID on my phone.

To log in, no. To transfer money to a new person/business, yes. There's a huge difference between transferring money to someone and shitposting on a karate forum though...
