Assets protect assets.
Care to elaborate? I don't use ANY social media, I only have Facebook so I can tag myself in my daughters photos and memories, but I haven't made a post on it in over 6 years.
Social media is an echo chamber filled with cancer.
Maybe you used to be able to say that but not anymore after they removed the Donald forum along with many others and updated their policies on hate speech to protect "vulnerable groups"Reddit creates safe spaces for left and right wing people, the way they create communities means you get circle jerks for everything. Not a fan but it's not a strictly left wing site.

I don’t think the genie is going back in the bottle ever, but for sure a specific platform could tank very quickly. I think YouTube is ripe for a major competitor as well.Twitter is on borrowed time, IMO, as is all social media. It's reached a crescendo now, and more and more people are walking away from it. Once government starts taking full charge and full-blown censorship is implemented (IE - No criticism of the The Party is allowed), even the younger Lefties who make up the bulk of the hardcore users nowadays will see the folly of it all. It'll go underground, probably on the deep web, and the government will then go after that too.
Twitter also just banned Memes..
Well, here's a non-meme but memeish photo for the road, although technically it would be allowed due to being from the AP:Oh no someone had a Meme of Joe Biden. "Banned on Twitter for spreading misinformation"
Or even from what county...I wonder what he meant by minorities. From the demographic of what country?
...photos and videos are the story; not the words.
They want the "mainstream media" to control information.
KR would've be convicted without the videos
Twitter Bans Sharing Photos, Videos ‘Without Consent’ on CEO Parag Agrawal’s First Day
Just one day after Jack Dorsey was replaced as the CEO of Twitter by the company’s former CTO, Parag Agrawal, the platform has banned the sharing of any images or videos of people without their explicit consent. The far-left company stated: “The misuse of private media can affect everyone, but can have a disproportionate effect on women, activists, dissidents, and members of minority communities.”

this guy is such a piece of fucking shit. if people do not believe in freedom of speech they should not be allowed to move to this country
This is going to happen twitter. Twitter will get rid of most of content they deem problematic. Will they going after some accounts who had being "Protesting" for the last 4 years? problary not.Tumblr ended up primarily being used for porn, tumblr decided to eliminate all of it and they lost a lot of users and revenue. My underlyimg point was making a large change nobody wants ends up in disaster.
Undoubtedly. If it shows antifa or BLM rioting it will banned. If it is being used to defame or dox some right wing person it will be allowed to stay up.
Everything internet related has been a bad development since circa 2010This is a bad development.
No, only on paper. In reality it will be like the longer version of the Nick Sandman video they ban. They'll allow the chopped up media clip that claims he was harassing a poor indian man, and ban the full version that shows that the kids were the ones being harassed. So Twitter is saying they would take down and ban the user sharing the video of the George Floyd incident?
That doesn’t sound like a good way to get progress
why dont they get rid of the whole platform? It just says "without their consent", couldn't this apply to mainstream media as well? Like cnn sharing a video of George Floyd getting killed? Who's consent do they need? Chauvin, all the cops, and bystanders as well? What if just one person doesn't consent?
