I am 3 episodes into to Paradise. It is interesting and I love the cast. Not totally hooked yet, we will see where it goes.

Came in here t tell @fingercuffs to never bother with 1923. I'm still annoyed this morning. What an absolute waste of season 2. There were hardly any redeemable parts

1883 was fantastic. Wished they didn't show one of the main character killed in a Yellowstone episode.

If I still trusted Taylor Sheridan then I would love a 1893 mini-series. I want to see James and Margret set up the foundation of the ranch. Deal with the first antagonists that try to take it. Build that amazing house. The true beginnings.

It was depressing. Not in a "these characters had a profound impact on me" way but a "I hate this fucking writer" way

Mixed feelings for me.
Yellowstone was terrible. Just nonsensical from top to bottom, and I wasn't interested in any of the characters. Melodramatic, and just felt like nothing was happening.

1923 has a lot of flaws, but their cast is A+. This series honestly should've been a movie..maybe a 2 or 3 part movie. It's a great love story, mixed in with some revenge, and has some great scenes of American wildlife. I was always interested in what the cast had to say even when they were in the middle of something that made no sense storywise.
With this cast, I think this would've won a lot of awards if they had put it in movie form and cut out crap they layered in it.
It had the opposite problem that Yellowstone had for me---there was a lot happening in 1923, but it was just too much. It's like they're trying to hit every possible bad scenario they could instead of focusing more on the characters, it was like 'The Oregon Trail' game on nightmare mode.

I'm loving 1923 so far, especially the Africa setting. Spencer's a bit cornball-ish, but he and his fiance (I could see her getting annoying) are fun thus far and I love the vistas. They're building up a great return for him.

Bronn from GOT plays a great slimeball, hopefully Timothy Dalton gets more screen time too.

I could do without the evil Christian/noble savage arc brewing though. I hope it's handled well.

It's funny that I glimpsed some big disappointment for the S2 finale (I assume). I have been expecting a big drop off, like 1883, but so far, 4 episodes in, it's only getting better.

1883 started off amazingly, but it went to shit halfway through. I hope this has the staying power Yellowstone did for me until it ended with a whimper.

Yellowstone was up and down, lots of highs and lows but always worth watching until Costner left. It became a Beth cringefest at the end.

I just learned that Sheridan was the jackass doing horse tricks on Yellowstone. You can tell that guy loves himself. He knows how to set up a great series, but so far he's a weak closer.

I still think the snake scene was the dumbest scene I've seen from a supposedly serious drama. Aside from the cartoonish way the snake flew to bite the face of the target, they also couldn't think of a better resolution to end a major character. It was just super lazy writing.

lol I forgot about this scene. Yeah, just awful and lazy.

I started The Bondsman on Prime. I'm about 4 episodes in and it's a very easy watch at around 25-30 mins an episode. Kevin Bacon seems to having a ton of fun hunting down demons, it's wacky, it's over the top, a good palette cleanser type of show if you don't mind dumb fun.

Reading the impressions of the 1923 makes me wonder if there's ever going to be another series that is going to be high quality from the pilot to the finale.

Seems like 99+% of all series are doomed to eventually go to absolute shit.

Makes me tempted to rewatch Spartacus Seasons 3&4 to find some redeeming qualities. I consider Season1&2 10/10, and after its a mixed bag but overall 'Good To Great.'

For some reason Spartacus came to mind because I'm seeing alot of advertising for 'House Of Ashur' on Facebook, which I'm not exactly thrilled about its existence.

Don't worry about Timothy Dalton's screen time. 1923 was probably his favorite role with all the scenes with the buck naked ho's. The new replacement ho had the better boobs.

Regarding Yellowstone, should I start it prior to the 1883 and 1923 shows or hit the prequels first?

Swaying towards 1883 then 1923 then Yellowstone.
