Watched the first two episodes of Reacher free on Freevee and entertaining. Seems like the dialogue was well written. A bit too gory. I'm assuming the actor came from WWE and has sexual relations with Roscoe.

Starz Greenlights Spartacus Sequel SPARTACUS: HOUSE OF ASHUR with Star Nick Tarabay and Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight Returning

Starz is bringing one of its foundational original series — along with one of its characters — back to life. The premium cabler has given a series order to Spartacus: House of Ashur, a continuation of the franchise that last aired a new episode in 2013.

The pickup comes nine months after Starz announced it was developing a revival/sequel — and a day after actors union SAG-AFTRA announced a tentative agreement with studios and streamers, ending a four-month strike. Series creator Steven S. DeKnight will serve as showrunner, and Nick Tarabay will reprise his role of Ashur from the former series.

“A decade ago the groundbreaking original Spartacus captivated viewers worldwide and we’re excited to deliver more enthralling, high-octane drama that our fervent fans have been anticipating,” said Kathryn Busby, president original programming at Starz. “It is an honor to team up with Steven again as he expands upon the storytelling within this thrilling, action-packed universe.”

The description for House of Ashur reads as follows: “The series poses the question: What if Ashur hadn’t died on Mount Vesuvius at the end of Spartacus: Vengeance? And what if he had been gifted the gladiator school once owned by Batiatus in return for aiding the Romans in killing Spartacus and putting an end to the slave rebellion?”

“To be afforded the opportunity to return a decade later to a series you loved is such a rare, wonderful opportunity,” said DeKnight. “I could not be more excited to craft this next chapter in the Spartacus saga with Starz, Lionsgate, and the incomparable Nick Tarabay.”

Spartacus: Blood and Sand premiered in January 2010 and was a breakout series for Starz, setting ratings marks that would stand for several years (shows like Outlander and Power eventually surpassed it).

Who else finished Loki Season 2? That finale...good s***!
Loki season 2 finale was epic. Below are my thoughts on it from the Loki thread:

After thinking about it for a few hours, I think I really like the season 2 finale of Loki.

SPOILERS BELOW

First, the ending had major ramifications. It's not your typical finale where the status quo largely remains intact. Second, Loki sacrificing himself to become the multiverse protector was a beautiful moment, especially if you look at the character's arc and growth throughout his time in the MCU. Third, those multiple images of Loki dragging those branches, his costume, his throne, the new "Yggdrasill" multiverse tree... just epic. Music was amazing as well.

I truly wish that Marvel Studios won't use Loki again. His "ending" just seems so glorious that I don't want to sully the moment with him appearing again. But I'm guessing Loki will play a pivotal role in the upcoming Kang Dynasty or Secret Wars.

Teaser Trailer for Netflix's MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: REVOLUTION

Technology vs. Magic when He-Man faces the forces of Skeletor in MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: REVOLUTION. Premiering January 2024, only on Netflix.

If anyone here enjoyed True Blood (at least the first few seasons) then y'all should check out the US version of a show called Being Human.

I considered watching True Blood from S1E1, but sorta already have the Jamie Gray Hyder and the Kelly Overton boobs out episodes bookmarked. Kelly looked great in live action Tekken and didn't realize she showed buns and brief boobs.

I'm currently struggling to lock onto the next Apple TV+ show to watch. Foundation S2 not super intriguing. After Party S2E2 is too shitty. Might just try the Eva Green show next.

Peeked at Xumo Play (free, owned by Spectrum and other cable co) and didn't really see on demand and live stuff seemed like no name straight to Blockbuster VHS level stuff. I think they did have UFC, PFL, Fight Network Shooto or was it DEEP.

Finished Liason on Apple TV+. Not crap, not great. Sorta like a less urgent 24 with Eva Green.

Watched S1E1 of Monarch (Godzilla Apple TV+) and kinda bleh. No urge to watch E2, so will watch ESPN+ Shohei Ohtani special next.

oh boy the Monarch, its like a monkey made that show... one scene super awkward Goodman is on a straight and low, narrow beach running away, the next hes on a cliff, then again behind view of him again straight, low beach tipping into the ocean, next scene yet again on a cliff. FFS. And then the next few scenes are him throwing his backpack into the ocean which changes 6 times from backpack to a square box and again into a backpack.
Avoid like the plague....

Started watching the four part Apple TV+ Supermodels documentary show. Curious why no Stephanie Seymour, Elle MacPherson, Karen Mulder, and others.
