Television TV Show Thread

Anyone watching Extrapolations on Apple? It's like Black Mirror but the central theme for every episode is climate change.

It's really good, and the cast will blow your mind.

You don't actually have to care about climate change to enjoy it, the stories are great and the acting and production values are fantastic.

First Teaser Trailer for THE WITCHER Season 3 Starring Henry Cavill

This summer, everything changes. The Witcher Season 3 begins on June 29th.

Been watching Bob Odenkirk's new show on AMC, Lucky Hank.

It's a dark/black comedy, and it is enjoyable. It is a nice change of pace from all these action and sci-fi shows that dominate the landscape. Nothing groundbreaking, but good.

I thought I could connect my cable credentials to the MLB.tv app to watch their MLB Network Presents/Special documentaries and top prospect shows on demand, but those seem paywalled.

I'm enjoying the show. He's kind of a dick.

Trailer for Action Fantasy Series AMERICAN BORN CHINESE Starring Michelle Yeoh

Whoa this trailer threw me off. I thought it was some cornball coming of age movie. I was about to shut the trailer off then it turns out to be fantasy kung fu stuff.

Sounds like Babylon 5 may be getting resurrected.

It would be nice to see that show with decent effects, but I'm skeptical they'll ever be able to replace Jurasik and Katsulas.

They were the Vorenus and Pullo of science fiction television. Historic performances.

It would have been awesome to see a spinoff with Lucius and Pullo. Those guys were so great!

The scene with them in the arena is one of my top five favorite sequences from any television show. Everything about it from the lead in to the aftermath was perfection.

Tried the first two episodes of MRS. DAVIS. Didn't quite like it and probably won't continue watching.

The wife and I have been watching The Diplomat on Netflix.

I really love Keri Russell in these types of roles. She was excellent on The Americans, and she is absolutely nailing her role in The Diplomat as well. Opposite Keri Russell is Rufus Sewell, who I was an instant fan of when I watched him on The Man in the High Castle. He is great in his role as well, portraying her husband. Michael McKean as President Rayburn is like the perfect fit as well. Whenever I see him on screen, I call him President Chuck. lol!

I am only 3 episodes in, but love it so far. It's got some laugh out loud scenes as well as interesting political dynamics. I am looking forward to finishing out the series over the weekend.

The Americans was great, so I'll give this a go too.

Could still happen.

“I do know that Bruno has written a movie script,” McKidd tells us in 2020. “It’s sat on a shelf for a long, long time and it’s all about what happens after season 2. Fifteen years have gone by, and Vorenus didn’t die. Vorenus is alive and well but has been in hiding for many years, protecting the young boy [Caesarion], who is now a man. I still feel like we should revisit that.

Or in older articles the showrunner wanted to do one off adventure/s about those 2 up north after they left Rome. iirc
