Just finished watching The Patient starring Steve Carell and Domhnall Gleeson. It was okay and entertaining but felt like it was a movie expanded to a series. I did not like the ending though.

Did not like Carell's plan. It was a suicide bluff and he just gave up and just wanted to die. Felt like he was making progress with Gleeson and he should have just waited for a better opportunity for escape in the future. He should have bid his time and continue being a therapist/substitute dad for Gleeson. The heavy-handed comparisons to being in Auschwitz was too much. Compared to that, Carell's situation was less bleak and showed plenty of potential for future escape or liberation.

Thriller with a bad ending? Guess I'll pass, thanks for the head's up.

Started watching The Consultant with Christoph Waltz. It’s a good dark comedy, A mysterious consultant comes in a takes over a gaming firm, eerie mayhem ensues.
Don’t be misled by the mediocre review scores - I think it’s a fun binge watch.

I dropped out after three episodes, really wasn't for me.

The brilliant Apple+ show Shrinking (Ted Lasso's Roy Kent and Harrison Ford) has been renewed!

I started watching this and about four episodes I was kind of gritting my teeth, it seemed pretty basic and predictable. To be fair, I had JUST finished re-watching In Treatment, which is a much more serious take on therapy, so this seemed incredibly silly.

Then I started getting drawn into the characters, and I started to enjoy it. A lot of the humor is far too goofy for me, but I actually like most of the characters in it (as people) so it made me feel pretty good. Now I'm really looking forward to future episodes.

I get an alert on Thursday that a new episode has landed and I save it up for Friday evening. Harrison Ford's daughter is the only character I don't enjoy.

Anyone enjoying The Consultant? I'm at episode 5 and I like it. I'm a huge Waltz fan so my opinion doesn't count for much.

The story is confusing, it starts with one main question, then meanders through and concludes not really anwsering anything properly while adding more. Write again what you thought when you finish, whether you were satisfied.

When I have crippling insomnia and have to get up I put this on. I've watched episode 3 3 times and haven't finished it.
I really like Carrell though.

Yeah Shrinking is great. I hate you can't binge these shows

You know what I did enjoy, mygal was into watching "Emily in Paris" - I honestly never want to go there, but it's a fun show. I highly recommend this.

Lily Collins is so bae.

I washed her dad's hair. She was later in the same salon as a very small child.

Whoa, that's cool Maam CUff. You washed a legendary singer hair. I only know Phil Collins song from Tarzan though.

Did he sang "You'll be in My Heart" after you wash his hair?

He gave me ten pounds, I was very polite and he had what he had left then trimmed. 10 pounds was two days wages as an apprentice, I didn't tell him I bought two of his (don't) 7" when I was a child. Just got on with it, it was a really designer salon.
