Wait... That's the show with Ruth Wilson.

Sad that it's boring, I really like her.

That goddamn Women's RIght to Chop was one of the worst episodes of Always Sunny I can remember. Must have been written by one of their female writers.

Just started watching Black Sails and its brilliant. Everyone is plotting and scheming against each other, with plenty of tits and blood to keep you entertained. I may be reaching a little but its the pirate version of GOT.

Currently watching Mad Men and am on the final season, episode 11, I'm going to be sad once it's finished, but I'm just grateful this season has extra episodes. I thought I had one left.

binjing it currently - on season 2. still find it hard to get fully into

My chest hurts. Seriously, this show is amazing. Probably the best show of 2019.

And nobody is watching it.

WATCH THIS SHOW PEOPLE. I know all caps is annoying and stupid but WATCH THIS SHOW.

Critics seems to love it and there's even a Rolling Stone article that just came out. Hopefully word of mouth picks up and people are there for Season 3. I need a season 3 and confirmation F/X is picking it up again. Edit: Apparently Season 3 has been picked up!

Nash Edgerton can direct a fucking shot that's for sure. Also, the look Bruce gave Ray when he was injecting him. Heavy and soul crushing but also you could feel how thankful he felt. I loved their talk and Bruce trying his best to get through to Ray and help him realize forgiving is better than living with that weight of anger. That was some great dialogue there.

I browse the Mr. Inbetween Reddit too and an Australian poster mentioned how Aussie the goodbye was. No "I love you" but "I'm gonna miss you, mate." because the one who said "I love you" would get teased by the other one, lol. Interesting cultural bit.

Did you know Bruce aka Nicholas Cassim does not have that disease irl? Just pure talent and acting. He deserves an award for what he's done the past two seasons.

Mad Men? I actually found it hard to get into as well, but gradually it ended up being one of my favourite series. I actually thought every season got better as the depth of the characters and their problems grow.

Official Trailer for CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS Crossover on The CW

I've been watching animation series called Primal. It's on Adult swim, from the guy who made Samurai Jack. It is raw and epic, and really pulled on the emotional strings too. I highly recommend the first episode at least, it's something special.

I love her. She was amazing in The Affair, and obviously in Luther. She's got a very unique, mysterious quality about her. A very sexy woman for sure. I'm enjoying her portrayal of ms coulter in His dark materials, too.

Yeaaa glad to hear you're on board!

Was starting to think I had gone stark, raving mad.

It's not bad thus far. i give it a 7 out of 10 as of right now. I kind of can't help but compare it to the books, and i think that may be setting my expectations too high.

I do love that they're showing boreal's plotline unfold parallel to lyra's-- that will eliminate the need for a long explanation or flashback in season 2.

Agreed! I think that was the right decision and one that might hold some appeal for viewers new to the story.

It's taken me 4 episodes to find something to complain about, but I think the most recent one altered a few relationships and character motivations in subtle ways that irked me. I didn't think much of Lee's extra scenes and felt like Lyra should have developed with the alethiometer a little more gradually. The scene with the Witch's Consul seemed like a miss, and though the scene with Tony was a welcome relief from the episode's pace, they left out a key piece of foreshadowing from the book.

The extent to which the audience is willing to buy into witches and talking bears is a test of how well the universe has been built up to that point. My hopes are still high, but a lot hangs on how well they've done the next 2-3.
