Television TV Show Thread

I'm watching Jason Momoa's new post-apocalyptic series SEE. I dunno why but something just bugs me about the thought of a thriving civilization where everyone is blind, not to mention when they go to war and how they don't indiscriminately kill their own teammates.

It's the only television premise I've seen dumber than that animal show.

Everyone gets a plague and those who survive end up blind?

Everyone is dead in a week. EVERYONE. Even people who never had sight.

Tried to watch the first episode of HIS DARK MATERIALS but just couldn't stay focused or interested in whatever was going on and ended up stopping it and playing something else.

Wait... That's the show with Ruth Wilson.

Sad that it's boring, I really like her.

Have you guys watched Grisse?

Kind of like an asian Deadwood on a Black Sails budget. Single Town setting with many Deadwood type characters. Political backdrop is colonial like in Black Sails.

Cracking little show that has gone under the mainstream radar. I watched it some time last year. Was on HBO on demand iirc. Highly recommend.

Project Blue Book on the History channel was really good in season 1. Season 2 will be starting in January, I believe.

It stars Aiden Gillen and Michael Malarkey. It's a historical drama based on the actual Project Blue Book, which was the investigation of UFO sightings and phenomenon.

Oh and I know this show was either hit or miss for people, but The Man in The High Castle on Amazon is returning for the final season next week 11/15. I really enjoyed the series and am looking forward to the finale.

Just working my way through all seasons of Bosch on Prime.
some of the best writing, acting, directing I've seen in a long time.
rings legit on many levels.
takes me back actually.
years ago a kid I went to Stanford with, Jay Roach, moved to LA and asked me
if I wanted to collaborate on a crime drama of some kind.
he was comped by a studio and everything.
I declined, he went into comedy instead.
oh well.

Yes, I've watched 2 or 3 episodes of GRISSE. Wasn't able to finish it but thanks for reminding me to do so.

Bonus points for the show for the nudity/sex scene of the incredibly hot girlfriend (Alexandra Gottardo).

I like Man in the High Castle as well. Wished it had more of a sense of urgency consistently.

You should try to watch it regardless. I could be wrong or just have short attention span lol.

THE AFFAIR ended and it had one of the better series finale I've seen. A bit of a fairy tale happy ending but after what the couple went through, they deserved it. Also I love how the future storyline with Anna Paquin came full circle with the present arc.

Is that Ruth Wilson again?

DUDE! Focus!

This adaptation looks just about perfect and we need to get to book two at least.

Yes it is.

I saw her in Luther and can't for the life of me understand why she gets so many boring roles.

I'm assuming you've seen Luther, as it's one of the best shows to ever come out of Britain, and she was a star in that role.

I've seen a lot of comments on how the show is great... For fans of the books. For everyone else it's a bit incomprehensible.

Obviously it's just beginning but we'll see.
