@fingercuffs

Have you seen Normal People?

I just finished it and it's brilliant. The best thing I've seen in a long time, and I don't say that lightly. The writing, directing and acting are all spectacular.

The trailer really doesn't do it justice, the characters are much more complex than it suggests. This isn't The Notebook.

Check it out.

Great story, DEJ is a gem

Ashoka was great ,I suspect some people can't handle female leads

I didn't love the portrayal of Ezra , other than that it was fantastic
Oh my god, such disappointing nonsense. If ya enjoyed the show, that's fine, nothing wrong with that. But to imply it's objectively great and anyone who disagrees just doesn't like female leads... god, I wouldn't have expected such an idiotic post from you.

I didn't mean to imply that anyone who disagrees just doesn't like female leads I just meant that I think that's where a healthy of the critiscm comes from , my son is a star wars hard core fan , he's an encyclopedia, he reported that was the vibe from some of the star wars YouTubers he watches

No show is for everyone

Fair enough then; my apologies.

I don't think that was the issue most people had with Ashoka. In general, I don't even think most people have an issue with a female lead, it's when the female lead is written terribly and focuses more on her being female and awesome instead of just being a good/interesting character.

I think Rosario Dawson is great as Ashoka, and I don't remember her getting many complaints in her appearance in Mandalorian or here. (for some aspects of her costume, not for character) Sabine was annoying as hell though---not because she's female, but because she's annoying.
It's always best to stay away from the Youtube whiners, their Youtube channels are built on being negative and shitting on anything Disney does. They look for "wokeness" in everything so they can create rage porn.

Excellent username

Just finished Fall of the house of Usher. Meh.

Just started rewatching Aqua Teen Hunger Force

Binged 5 out of the 7 episodes of the Apple TV+ Jennifer Garner show. Not crap, not super great. Might watch Slow Horses S2 next.

I saw the trailer of Manifest.
I mean those people have been missing 5 years on that plane.
Where did they go ?

I just just started to watch Breaking Bad aagain, I'm currently at S1E1. I didn't think it much of it, when I watched it for the first time, I much, much, much preferred Better Call Saul.

Maybe I'll change my mind this time.

Okay, so I'm someone who normally hates almost everything anime, almost, but I'm also a gamer nerd, so when I learned about this obscure series, which a search indicates to me has only been discussed on Sherdog in the Manga megathread, I thought I'd give it a go. I was not disappointed. It's set a year before the events of the game, and the series was overseen by CD Projekt Red themselves, so the narrative world is consistent. It's only 10 episodes, and without spoiling, I'll can inform you that you may consider this a de facto miniseries with the story concluded. If they do another season, it will be to hype future DLC, I expect, and I doubt they revisit any of the characters from this arc.

Better than I expected. Annoyed me with some anime cliches at times, but not too much. I recommend it.

Watched 5 out of 7 episodes of Hijack on Apple TV+. Entertaining. Better than most Disney+ Marvel or Star Wars shows. Would have watched the last two episodes, but it was getting late.

I can see why someone might like Ahsoka, but calling it great is a huge stretch imo. I thought it had an overall likeable cast, but the story was weird and the pacing kinda slow. My guess is that people who liked the cartoon are the biggest fans of the series, while people who weren't are somewhat puzzled at times.

Lol at playing the misogyny card in this context as if female leads are something new or as if there aren't obvious valid criticism of Ahsoka.
