About to watch new Justified! Loved that show. One gripe though cause I'm a gripey cunt... they used a shitty pop country twangy soulless version of this song. Here you go pals:
Come back to me when you comprehend what "wasted" means.lol wasted, he made the show. One of the best roles he had and the atmosphere he made is to be in awe. And it was better than 90% of onedimensional, moronically narrated and cliche sci-fi shows on today. Not saying it couldnt be better, made it more complex and a bit less "of the times" but what show were you watching...
Just finished THE SWARM (2023) and I really liked it. The slow-burn sci-fi show is about a strange phenomenon happening all over the world where sea creatures are acting very bizarrely and oftentimes downright hostile to humans. This is similar to the recent sci-fi show INVASION but, in my opinion, way better because none of the characters in The Swarm are blatantly annoying or constantly do something stupid. There's a slow, grounded approach in how the story is unveiled and how the scientific experts gather information. I have not read the book, so I didn't have any preconceived expectations.

Saw the IMDb editors put out the list of their 5 favorite TV shows in 2023 so far:
- The Bear (Hulu)
- Beef (Netflix)
- Succession (HBO)
- Jury Duty (Freevee)
- The Last of Us (HBO)

Foundation is an atrocious adaptation of its source material, and is overall a subpar show quagmired in mediocrity. Lee Pace is extraordinary in it. That's why he's "wasted" on the show. He deserves better. I'm not alone in this assessment. The show's IMDb rating is a middling 7.5. Sure, it's better than most Sci-Fi on TV. The thing is that isn't some grand boast. It's my favorite genre, but almost all TV sci-fi is hot garbage. You can come back to be when you have an inkling of sense what is a good show and not keep listing shows that are nothing but a heap made of generic studio approved building blocks lacking any originality, wit or vision.
He made the show almost a personalized vehicle for his craft and shines in it, the role and his character with his performance are amazing. Also the show is better than 90% of sci-fi shows on, despite being far from perfect. If that is wasted you need to open a dictionary or expand your horizons to have a better grasp of what is quality.
Not a documentary. It's a sci-fi series about an ecological disaster and the personal drama of the human characters. Here's the trailer:Is this a documentary on recent orcas' attacks on boats?)

Official Trailer for TWISTED METAL Starring Anthony Mackie
Twisted Metal, a half-hour live-action TV series based on the classic PlayStation game series, is a high-octane action comedy, based on an original take by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and written by Michael Jonathan Smith, about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck. Streaming July 27th on Peacock.
Nice to see we agree on something, but seriously, you didn't like Buck Rogers in the 25th Century?Foundation is an atrocious adaptation of its source material, and is overall a subpar show quagmired in mediocrity. You want to watch great TV? Go watch one of those shows recommended by the IMDb editors: The Bear.
So, it's a combo between the Star Wars plot--rogue looks to deliver "cargo" for a huge payday"--Escape from New York, and Mad Max?
Sounds like fun.
I did not care for it at all when I was younger. Haven't gone back. However, I've found that as I've gotten older I've come to appreciate all of the most popular sci-fi's of the 90's upon reviewing. Deep Space Nine was a classic example. Loved Star Trek, hated it as a teen. Watched it in my 30's, dug the hell out of it. Same thing with Sliders.Nice to see we agree on something, but seriously, you didn't like Buck Rogers in the 25th Century?
Nah but really seriously, how do you feel about Babylon 5?
