Well, I do think that our actions create downstream effects and that the only way to be a healthy person is to take responsibility for our own disordered actions that come from selfishness, greed arrogance etc.

I don't know any spiritually successful people who don't practice rigorous self-examination in this way and I can't imagine why we wouldn't want to do that as a country.

Most conflicts are not one-sided so of course you couldn't put all the blame on the United States. However taking responsibility for our own sinful actions is the only way to be truly successful.

It's amazing we could be so technologically advanced and not have this basic spiritual principle already established.

You are still failing to understand my position. Both sides should honestly assess their own past and present actions and behavior. It's not either or it's both and...

Obviously as Americans we should have a heavier emphasis on our own sins actions and motives. Especially when the national consciousness is often unaware about our own sins, motives and behaviors past and present.


The basic principle is from Jesus where he said to take the moat out of your own eye so that you could see clearly to take the sliver out of your brother's eye. If we want to have God's power acting in our country in a profound way, we would first clean up all of our own sins, admit to them and stop doing them, and from that position of spiritual power we could act in the world.

This is basic spiritual principles and if we live this way we would be much more powerful as a country.
