Serving on congressional committees isn’t sufficient experience for this role under the law though. Federal law sets out qualifications for this role, and she does not meet them. Being on a congressional committee is not being in the intelligence community. She didn’t do any intelligence work when she was in the military either.

By Trump standards it’s one of his most sane picks, and even she is pretty much totally unqualified.

It in fact was not proven false despite what @cottagecheesefan will tell you. He resigned recently so that the house committee couldn’t keep investigating him.

This investigation started under Trump and wasn’t targeting him at first. He became a target when it was discovered that he was getting prostitutes and drugs from that guy. There’s no doubt he was doing this much at the very least either; the idiot was showing off pictures of prostitutes he slept with to other members of the house and bragging about it.

The only actual defense he has is that he didn’t know one of the women in question was 17 when he slept with her. It’s pretty much a given that he did sleep with her and she was 17. That part may actually be true; the creep might have believed she was the mature age of 18 at the time he was fucking her, getting her high and paying her to travel with him.

plenty of military people have been compromised in the past, that's not a good argument.

Is anyone in the Trump circle qualified? I have no idea. Federal law says
they should “extensive national security expertise,” and that under “normal circumstances” (that’s the phrase the law uses), they should be “ an active-duty commissioned officer in the armed forces or have training or experience in military intelligence activities and requirements.” She doesn’t have any of that, and I have no idea who might support Trump who meets these, or even if anyone on the Right who meets these *isn’t* a neocon.

This also means that Matt Gaetz is technically more qualified for his role than she is for hers. Let that sink in for a second.

Oh well. This is the clown car circus show the country voted for, let them have it. Just sucks that the rest of us have to deal with it too.

Gabbard has been against heavily sanctions on russia since the start of ukraine war
she has been a putin apologist through and through, watch her joe rogan podcast and you will see all the russian propaganda she was spewing
she said russia has the same level 'freedom of speech' as US do (rofl)

and now she's gonna be the head of national intelligence. most other cabinet picks from trump at worst was incompetent and laughable. but this one could be destructive.

Rubio, Ratcliff, Noem, Zeldin, and Stefanik don't seem unqualified. They just have varying degrees of whether they will do the job in the interest of the U.S. or interest of Trump or interest of themselves. Gaetz and Hegseth seem woefully under-qualified/inexperienced to do their role. Tulsi seem too inexperienced as well.

The Zeldin one confuses me because his gubernatorial run was all on crime. Seems odd that he'd waste his time on the EPA.
