Trumps moderate base, the one lefties pretend doesn't exist, is not happy with war drums. Source-

Hillary would've brought them back to relevance too.

There was no "pacifist" solution for the Americans. Just two bags of shit.

Trump atleast tried to con people into thinking that he wasn't going in. Hillary didn't even bother.

Hillary would not had shit on the Iranian deal, thats for certain.

Being a "pacifist" would be not interfering even when your best interest is arguably at stake.

Trump's base should feel betrayed about the war drums. They were promised an "America first" presidency. You can't spend millions on bombs and missiles for a country then hold up veterans and workers and claim "no one wants to spend on these poor folks!"
Are you saying Trump is going to be asking for more $ than what is already in the budget for the military?

The Blue Collar Dems that voted for him probably don't like this.

Major media outlets, NeoCons and a portion of the Left are pushing this.

CNN & MSNBC should be ashamed at their coverage. FOX sucks but at least the Anti Intervention side is getting a bit of Air Time

I've seen you make a lot of posts about Syria in the last few days, and an awful lot of them seem to be about Democrats, Liberals, liberal media, etc.

Donald Trump is the President. He is a Republican. He is the one sending out "Get ready Russia! Smart rockets are comin'!" tweets.

It seems so strange to me that much of your focus right now is on liberals instead of the President and the people he's hired to surround himself with. It seems like you've made way more posts about liberals, neocons, and liberal media than you have about Donald Trump.

Democrats were the necessary balance to neocons. Peaceniks. Even those on the right knew this balance was necessary. It's an odd turn, this faux elitist pro-killing left.

I've seen this poll represented by multiple outlets, and the results always look the same. Some support for bombing Syria is universal across parties, but it heavily leans Republican.

One that compares support in 2013 vs 2017. Seemingly, Republicans completely changed their minds when Trump changed his?

I can't remember who it was. But there was actually a regular poster in 2017 that was saying how we should absolutely not intervene, and that it was none of our business. Then another thread started while he was saying that, and in the new thread the news broke that Trump had just bombed Syria. That poster showed up in the thread and supported it immediately. I wish I could remember who it was, they ended up going back and editing their posts I believe.

Trump already dumped a record military budget on them. No need to do that.

And the right calls the left lemmings. Great post illustrating yet more hypocrisy.

Just gonna quote myself from the other thread:

Oh fucking please

He won't lose a single vote for this, whatever this even is. Trumpsters have no principles whatsoever other than triggering the libs and 24/7 culture wars. He'll come up with something new to fuck the Mexicans or transsexuals and they'll fall right back in love with him.

Trump doesnt have a base, he has a personality cult. They might not like this but its not they'll actually stop supporting him over a few bombs in Syria.

Ironically, the left (The corporate media, basically)

And, alas, your distorted and hilariously limited worldview rears its empty head.

Also, the "corporate media" isn't beating the war drums. The New York Times and Washington Post contravened their own professional standards when they passed along what ended up being GWB government propaganda in the absence of supporting sources in 2003, that they've become ultra-scrupulous, admirably so, about making the same mistake.

He also said he'd bomb the hell out of ISIS and defeat them within 30 days of taking office. Literally can't even keep track of his own bullshit.

I dunno. Is he? Could we spend less on military campaigns in the ME and more domestically?

Who approves the budget for the military? And can he just dip into the military budget and spend it on the homeless if he wants to for example?

I think we are going to spend more on the military domestically. Remember we have that border to Mexico right?

Trump already dumped a record military budget on them. No need to do that.

It seems like almost every President before him does the same. Wouldn't you agree?

If a president wants to tackle domestic issues, what should they propose in their budgets they submit to congress: More military spending abroad or less military spending abroad?

Trump's Alt-Right supporters, who were his most hardcore supporters, are very much against the US going to war against Assad. They were angry when Trump fired off cruise missiles last time around.

Trump ran on non-intervention and not deposing Assad. But then he flips 180 and embraces Neocons.

Given his past, was there any reason to think otherwise?
I mean, fucking come on.

The moderates are not the Trump base.

Evangelicals and extreme nationalists are his base. The moderates are along for the ride because they favor mainline Republican policy to mainline Democrat policy.
