Again, that's the partial story. They targeted conservatives. They also targeted liberals. The IRS is an organization of 75,000 employees, a huge portion are conservative.

The Inspector General did a 100+ page report after a long investigation and found this was not directed at any one group on any official level. It was idiots injecting their own biases at the lower levels of operation. A problem, but one that existed on both sides.
