Trump's DOJ gears up for crackdown on marijuana

Um, no. Alcohol is much different than weed. It doesn't take society down the slippery slope that weed does. Weed makes you think differently, in a way that's bad for society.

Why do you think western societies are going down this path that invariably ends up in their own self-destruction? Questioning what gender is? And worse?

Weed opens up your mind to those insane ideas. Alcohol tells you to tell anyone who has those dangerous ideas to shut the fuck up.

Yeah right you couldn't handle your shit and now you're afraid of it like all these reptilian mf'ers in congress.

Anyone ever smoke a doobie then go see a cool 3D movie?

Fun way to spend a slow Monday night.

Oh sorry you'd have to be a bum, burnout hippie to enjoy something like that. Well, except for All the people who aren't those things and still enjoy the weed.

That might be part of the reason, for some people, but I would think you are smart enough to recognize that it is not the totality of the argument.

Plenty of people are denied MJ who have found legit relief for medical conditions, and at the very least, were able to discontinue pharmaceutical therapies that present far greater (often dangerous) side effects. The side effects of MJ are incredibly tame in comparison.

Second, so what if people use it to have fun? As long as it is consumed in moderation, what's the problem?

You plan on closing down amusement parks and discontinuing candy bars and ice cream too?
I just don't believe that you really care about the things you just said. I think its a scripted side argument used by people who like getting stoned.

When will the persecution end?

I live in Maine where we legalized weed last year. You know whats different? Absolutely nothing because people with common sense don't need to advertise to everyone they meet their love affair with weed.

So what's the point of this post.

Oh, nothing

So actual testimonials from people who have benefited medically from the destigmatization of MJ, which would've never came about from 17th century puritanical fun=bad ideologues such as yourself, are just imaginary "scripted" arguments....

Of course all of this is pointless anyways, unless you can prove to me that "getting stoned" is anymore wrong than "getting a wakeup" from your local Starbucks coffee, which I'm sure they serve at your weekly Sunday services.

Saying that MJ should be illegal simply because people want to "get stoned" is not any more of an argument than saying surfboards should be illegal because "people want to have fun'.

I've tried with that dude. You can't argue with someone who claims to know what goes on in everyone else's head.

I hope you don't think anyone mistakes that for serious thought or rational debate. Nobody will.

is sessions gonna be employed long enough tos ee this through?

As long as you keep your shitty drug policies in America instead of trying to push them on the rest of the world.
my daughters friend was just selected at a random traffic stop, he had to give blood for a drug test
(by the way he doesn't even do drugs)

and you think your drug laws are a step above shitty, they can't do that in the US and what do you think would have happened if he was high.....an award for being an Australian drug user?

Depends on the state. There's quite a lot of national variation. It's a fact though that Australian drug laws were massively influenced by treaties and the American "war on drugs". Starting with Roosevelt at the international opium conference in Shanghai in 1909, the US and it's "war on drugs" became the major backer and influence peddler with the International Narcotics Control Board.
